I’d give it more stars if it weren’t for one of the rude employees they have working the register. I run a community center and I get gift cards to use at the dollar tree to use once a month to buy supplies. When I go, I buy $ 60 — $ 80 worth of things, and I also have to present a tax exemption form and fill out a paper. It’s a bit of a tedious process. One of the cashiers, an African American woman, don’t know her name because all her name tag says is «dollar tree», she’s not very welcoming or nice. When she asks questions, she’s not very courteous, she never says please or thank you when talking to you, and her tone of voice just comes off like she’s super annoyed. I don’t really appreciate her demeanor and I think she needs to learn how to better communicate with the customers.

How does this one stack up to «My Dollar Tree»? Well, it still has all the same crap. It’s a bit smaller than G-Town DT. What struck me about this one, is that it was dirtier, and seemed to have a patina of dinginess to it. There seemed to be more clutter, and more merchandise strewn about. The«We-Don’t-Care» aura was much stronger in this location, and hung heavy in the air like a pall. Of course, I’ll be back if I find myself in this neighborhood again, and need some off-brands or generics. But I won’t feel very welcome, despite the robotic«Welcome to Dollar Tree» greeting the Greenshirts are mandated to proffer each customer.

I always love dollar tree, go in for one loofah poof and come out with 20 items I probably don’t need! Oh well, how can you pass it up for a dollar an item? This location is smaller than the other ones I have been to and definitely less organized but still has a good amount of stuff. The staff was funny to listen to just chit chatting away at the check out counters.

They have everything and it’s all $ 1. There are a few other dollar stores in Austin but Dollar Tree is consistently awesome. If I have a lot of shopping to do sometimes I stop by Dollar Tree to make sure that I don’t pay full price for anything that should really be just $ 1. The cashiers are really nice people! A bunch of Trident for $ 1? Yes! A broom for $ 1? Yes! All kinds of cleaning supplies, all for $ 1 each? How can you ever beat that?! My husband even buys their hot dogs.
