Dr. Kennington helped my family and I through the toughest situation a family should ever have to endure. If it wasn’t for him, I don’t know that our family would still be together. We are now thriving and happy. I thank him with all my heart, and I don’t know what we would have done without him.

We used Dr. Kennington for couples therapy. After six or seven appointments he was unable to grasp the scope of our problem and the key issues we both had. In fact, he made our relationship temporarily worse. He’s a nice enough fellow but it’s obvious he’s somewhat inexperienced. If your looking for a typical«feel good/tune up» experience he will do just fine but if you need true couples help your better served looking for someone older and more seasoned who won’t get caught up in your crisis.

When I’m feeling stuck, sometimes it’s helpful for me to have someone to talk things through with. Mathis is one of those people who can help you identify your feelings about a situation, and more importantly, find your way to something better. After just a few minutes, I tend to feel at ease and open to the process.(And given that the process can sometimes be overwhelming/hard/frustrating, it’s important to feel comfortable.) Mathis knows when to push a little for an honest answer, and when to respect the place I’m in at that moment. If you’re looking for someone who will work with you to get unstuck, and will genuinely CARE about your happiness, go see Mathis!
