They were a little hard to find, but a quick call to the store they gave me better directions than my GPS.
I was just in Austin on a vacation. Since this is the ONLY recumbent store in Texas I wanted to stop in and look around. Mike greeted me and I was honest with him by saying I am not here to buy anything, don’t have room to haul anything home even if I did buy. Mike didn’t care. He still showed me the bikes and talked about each one, answering all my questions. He then suggested I take a bike out for a test ride, I again repeated that I’m really just looking, again, he didn’t care. So I test rode two bikes.
Now it’s not like Mike was just sitting around doing nothing, he was fixing a bike and talking to other customers, yet he still took time to go over and above to help me, a guy he knew wasn’t going to buy anything. This type of mom & pop attitude is dying these days, so I am very glad to see it alive and well at Easy Street Recumbents.
This store is a 5 hour drive away from me, but due to the selection and the INCREDIBLE customer service, I will make the trip when I am ready to buy.

Easy Street Recumbents is THE place to go for Recumbent Trikes or Bikes in Austin TX. Mike Librick has been operating this store since the mid nineties and is the absolute expert in matching you to the trike or bike for you. Trikes nowadays are lower to the ground and very sleek. They corner very well and are a blast to ride. (I have had mine since 2007 and it is still going strong. The people at Easy Street are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I met with Mike regarding a lease for his business. He runs a clean shop, super personable and loves what he does!

Due to old dudes’ issues, I can longer ride a traditional bike. Someone recommended Easy Street Recumbents and after a visit and a little research, I decided on an Sun EZ Sport. Mike was great — very professional, honest and personable. The bike is a joy to ride. I love to support local businesses and Mike runs his business in a manner that makes doing business with him a pleasure.

I found Easy Street after a long search online for recumbent dealers in North and Central Texas. This shop is, hands down, the most knowledgeable and experienced place I could find with the greatest variety of models offered! Whether you just want information, a test ride, or are ready to buy, this is your one stop shop for recumbent bikes and trikes!
Mike, the owner, is patient, informed, witty, and has the heart of a teacher. I came in from out of town and camped out at his shop for FOUR HOURS getting to know the basics of recumbent geometry choices, riding instruction/​tips, and test driving several models that he had on site. It’s a small shop but Mike has made the most of his space and stocks a variety of brands and models with two or three wheels. If you contact him before-​hand with what you’re looking for he is more than happy to have some options built up and available.
In the end I went with a low racer short wheel base bike that Mike gave me a decent deal on since it was the only one of its kind in the shop. I left him with a list of modifications/​upgrades and my deposit, and my ride was ready to pick up within a week! Don’t kid yourself on cost: most of the bikes here are priced at MSRP and your negotiating skills will do more good on component swaps and handlebar tape than the bike itself. As Mike says, it’s a «boutique product at boutique prices,» but you just can’t beat the expertise and variety of bikes and trikes that Easy Street offers. Bottom line: you get what you pay for.
That’s the one ingredient to my experience that make the two trips to Austin more than worthwhile: CUSTOMER SERVICE. I know, it’s hard to come by these days, but Easy Street has it in spades. Both Mike and his repair tech Chuck endured my many questions with friendly smiles. After I collected my bike, Mike followed up with an accessory that was on order and had helpful tips on how to fix some of the «breaking in» adjustments I needed to make on my first few rides. There were no stupid questions and response time was minimal.
Now that I’m riding a ‘bent, most of the other recumbent riders I’ve met have at least heard of Mike, and those who have visited his shop have nothing but good things to say. He’s famous in the recumbent world, and although it’s a small population it meant a lot to me personally to have an expert teaching me the ropes. He really has a passion for the vehicles he sells and you can tell by the way he cares for his customers. Thanks for everything you do, Mike!

I’ve been a customer of Easy Street Recumbents for 5 years now and could not be happier with the level of service, trusted expertise, and encouragement of recumbent cycling culture that I have experienced here.
Mike and his team are knowledgeable on every manner of human powered vehicle! While they sell and service recumbent trikes and bikes from a variety of manufacturers, they are also savvy enough to help you with any custom work or installations. I trust them so much that I’ll make the drive from Dallas to get a job done right the first time.
This is the best bike /​trike shop in Texas as far as I’m concerned!

The owners and staff of this shop are GREAT!
I found them on the net looking for a certain brand of tires only to find they are one of few to carry them.
They are very easy going and great to work with, we arranged the order over the phone and the tires were shipped quickly and very well packaged up so no damage would occur.
I strongly recommend this shop!

If you’re looking for a recumbent, this is the place to go. The owner of the business is knowledgeable and friendly, and he only stocks quality bikes. He is a top notch bike mechanic as well. You can test ride all the bikes there at his place, and he will offer advice as to what would be best for you.
