Edson Greg, DDS

I’ve been a loyal patient of Dr. Edson’s for years but my most recent experience prompted me to write. Came down with a toothache over the weekend and called his mobile (which he provides to patients) and he promptly took my call, wrote me a script for antibiotics and pain meds, came in early Monday morning to see me, and walked me downstairs to one of his recommended endodontists to perform a root canal.
Maybe there’s some way a dentist could provide better or kinder service than Dr. Edson, but if there is, I can’t think of it. Thank you Dr. Edson!!!

My entire family has been going to Dr. Edson since he started to practice here (that’s over 15 years). He’s kind, caring, always willing to explain your options and his recommendations. He’s good with kids. He’s returned [potential emergency] calls on weekends It’s not a practice that goes in for up selling.

I have been coming to Dr. Edson for about three years now and I always have a wonderful experience. Marilyn, the receptionist, is always friendly and helpful and the office is bright and welcoming. Dr. Edson always takes the time to listen to any concerns and I feel he does a wonderful job, but it’s really Jill that I spend the most time with. Not only does she do excellent cleanings, she is a joy to be around while you’re sitting in that awkward position… not an easy feat! They have television and music if you need those distractions, but she puts me so at ease that I’m never nervous or uncomfortable. Dr. Edson is usually quick but thorough when he comes in after my cleanings, and I never feel rushed. I highly recommend him and his staff.

Greg is a great guy and stands behind all his work. You know you can always trust a Dentist who has integrity by standing behind the work they do. Additionally, he has the best chair side manner and actually listens to your needs. Marilyn who greets you is the sweetest lady you will ever meet and she is quite funny if you get to know her! Jill is wonderful and she does a great job and is a perfectionist when you get cleanings. Nidia is very personable also and takes just as great care of you as any of Dr Edson’s team would. The whole office smells of knowledge and compassion, with humor and ultimate patient care.

Dr. Edson is the BEST dentist ever! He is really nice and kind and actually has a great sense of humor. I have been going there for 21 years to that same location. Marilyn (the receptionist) and Dr. Edson always make my visit feel like visiting good family. They are caring, thoughtful and I never feel like they are in it to gouge me. I’ve been told that some of the work would only last 10 years and so far 18 years later it’s still not needing replacement.
I had to try a new dentist in the last year and they told me I needed more x-​rays and a crown. I wanted a second opinion and went to Dr. Edson. He said I didn’t need a crown and was able to re-​fill the filling and preserve my tooth. Thank you!

Dr Edson rocks! I went to him on the advice of my girlfriend, who has used him for years. After a HORRIBLE experience with Castle Dental (who wanted to sell me $ 3k worth of «deep cleanings» and other stuff I don’t need), I decided to give Dr. Edson a try. Wow. This guy is no mall dentist. He took the time to go over all of my x-​rays with me, pointing out every detail, and why or why not it was something that needed attention. If you want a dental office that isn’t staffed with salesmen, go see Dr. Edson. You won’t be sorry.

Update: I have now seen Dr. Edson for a couple of years and each time I am so impressed with him. His bedside manner is wonderful-​he is kind and gentle. He will always do what is necessary to save a tooth before jumping to more extreme and expensive measures. It is really hard to find a good dentist. He is not in my network, but I like him so much I have decided to continue my PPO coverage so I can continue to see him. I have had a great deal of dental and orthodontic work in my time, and he hands down is my favorite!

I have only seen him for a consultation (second opinion) after horrible experiences with two other Dentists. One Dentist told me I needed 4 – count them 4 crowns. I was mortified… I went to Dr. Edson and he told me that the tooth in question only needed a new filling because it was so old. The other Dentists whacked my tooth with a metal tool and told me my tooth was cracked… Dr. Edson just told me to bite down on a cotton swab to see if it hurt. I have not had the work done yet, but he earned my trust. He seems very gentle, knowledgeable, and conservative – e.g., will save the tooth at all costs.

I’ve been seeing Greg Edson at 2222 and MoPac for about 7 or 8 years now and have been very happy with my routine care and the filling and crown I’ve had in that time.
He’s a super nice guy and even took care of a weekend emergency for my wife when her dentist was out of town (now Dr. Edson is her dentist).
