Rebecca is amazing! When I first received acupuncture from her it was my first time and I was a little nervous and skeptical. I was having some back and neck pain and seeing a chiropractor to get things in place, it was helping but slowly. As an active person I needed a quick fix. Rebecca did some acupuncture and some massage work on me just a few times and I instantly felt better and better. It was insane! Next time I even start feeling this way I will give her a call up immediately. I highly recommend her to anyone!

Rebecca is the kind of acupuncturist that will help you get well, and give you the tools to keep you there! She cured(yes, cured) my husband of his carpal tunnel after one visit, helped him reduce chronic tinnitus, and makes me feel like a zillion bucks every time I visit her. I can never wait for my next visit. Go visit her now, and work with her to get yourself in shape. She knows the way! To give you an idea what you can expect… if you have a specific ailment, be prepared to listen and do what she recommends, you won’t be sorry. If you go to reduce the effects of stress, expect to feel like jello afterward, I’ve never been happier with relaxation techniques employed by anyone. If you go just to check it out, prepare to have your mind blown as she zeroes in on things you didn’t even realize were going on.

I can’t recommend Rebecca enough. I have been seeing her for several years for massage and acupuncture. When I arrived in Austin, I had several things ailing me, that I am happy to say no longer do thanks to her treatment. She completely solved my 10 year issue with IBS within 6 months of treatment– absolutely amazing to me to live pain & symptom free now after so long. Rebecca works with your whole body– internally and externally. Through the use of massage, acupuncture and chinese herbs & nutritional advice she has been able to make such a difference in my well being. Two years ago, when I was having fertility issues due to PCOS, after starting treatment with Rebecca for a couple of months, I conceived! I firmly believe that if I had not gone to her for treatment, that I would not have been able to become pregnant with my absolutely amazing daughter. I am grateful every day to Rebecca for once again making a huge difference in my life. I recommend all my friends and family to her with the full trust that they will come away from their experience with her feeling better– whether they are getting a massage or Chinese medicine treatment for something more long term. Thanks Rebecca for helping guide me towards the healthful person I am today!

This is the real deal. I went in there feeling like a crunchy, compressed spring and came out feeling fantastic! I’d spent days studying, hunched over books and my back and neck were screaming murder. Plus the joint of my big toe had been bothering me for a year(x-rays found nothing) — how random is that? After days of feeling tense and run down, it was as if she had hit my reset button! And yeah, I aced my tests. I’ll be getting some of the Chinese liniment she recommended for my toe and will certainly come back during finals. Not only did Rebecca fix my crunchy study-injuries, but my toe feels SO much better! She has been studying massage and Eastern medicine for ages and really knows her stuff. Her office is tranquil and inviting, the woman herself is warm and radiates calm. I used to think that massage was a frou-frou thing, like getting a manicure. But now I see how healthy and healing it is! Life has a tendency to tie you into knots and Rebecca’s strong, sure hands can undo them all! Worth every penny! Be sure to book in advance. Bonus points: And she has the most laid-back hypoallergenic dog in the world.

Rebecca, with Elephant Acupuncture, is one of the most tremendously knowledgeable and passionate people I know regarding acupuncture, massage, and yoga. I love that she is adept at more than one healing art. I would recommend her to anyone looking to increase their healing and personal growth potential. Be sure to try a private yoga session with her as she is really helpful in personalizing your practice for what is best for you!

Rebecca is a serious, real acupuncturist. I take her needles once a week to combat some insane allergy problems, but acupuncture can also help joint problems, liver, lungs, kidneys, headaches, digestion, and a number of other ailments. It is a friendly and positive healing environment. Half therapist, half herbalist, half masseuse, half private yoga instructor, she is a glass of pure overflowing awesome. I can physically feel the difference after every therapy session. She’s very good about finding the correct spots for the needles and has what I find to be a great method of a quick prick followed by a little adjustment to get right in the spots. The ambience is great. Sometimes she has her well behaved and friendly hypo-allergenic dog Dweezil with her. I can say quite clearly that if you are looking for very real alternative therapy and not just new age fluff, try out Elephant acupuncture. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

My boyfriend goes to see Rebecca weekly for help managing his many severe allergies with acupuncture, nutritional planning, and herbal therapies. I’ve noticed great results with that, but that’s his review to write. What I’m going to focus on is the hour-long therapeutic massage he got me for my birthday. This is a one-woman business, and she’s excellent at what she does, so Rebecca is often booked out a while in advance, but she was very accessible and accommodating in scheduling my appointment. When I arrived, she sat me down in the reception area and talked a little about her massage style. She explained what she’d be doing, and asked if there were any particular spots where I didn’t want to be touched, and where I was experiencing pain. My job is pretty physically active, so I’m often in pain over a large part of my body, and I have no massage experience beyond giving the occasional affectionate backrub, so I pretty much just told her to do her thing as she saw fit, other than a mention that my feet are extremely ticklish so more pressure there would probably be better for me not squirming. This was the most discussion I’ve ever had before a massage, and it really made me feel more comfortable. It’s a far more pleasant experience than filling out some boxes on a paper. Once I was naked under the sheet on her table, Rebecca came in and put on some music. I don’t know exactly what it was, but the vibe was calming and middle-eastern or Asian. She had told me beforehand that she doesn’t really«check in» much while she works, but that if I needed her to go softer or give me a moment for a break, to let her know. But as I mentioned, I’m not the sort to complain about a massage, and anyway, I’ve never had one that made me feel better with no pain during. She definitely worked me over hard, but nothing was past my tolerance. I didn’t feel the need to talk very much, and she didn’t try to force me to, but anytime I did say anything, she was responsive and friendly. She started with my lower legs and feet, and worked her way up, paying extra attention to the parts of my back and legs that she knew would be likely to hurt based on how much time I spend online, at work, and studying. You know it’s good when the massage is over and you need to just lay there for a few minutes and enjoy it before you get up and start moving and scrunching muscles again. From my toes to my scalp, everything felt nice, loose, and relaxed. After a bit, when I was finally ready to get up and get my clothes back on(ok, I would have lain there all day if she had let me, but that’s not realistic), I went out into the front room again and Rebecca gave me a big glass of water, reminding me to drink lots of water for the rest of the day to finish the therapy of the massage. She let me hang out for a few minutes to get my bearings and«come down» with no rush, and we chatted comfortably during that time. All in all, this was easily the best massage experience I’ve ever had. If I had the income for a weekly break from reality on Rebecca’s table, I’d be there with bells on.(It’s not that she’s expensive; on the contrary, her rates are right in line with what I’d expect for an independent in her field. I’m just a broke-ass college girl.)
