When it comes to cheap, hole in the wall Mexican food, this place is KING. Almost always a wait, but it’s always well worth it. The enchiladas are some of the best in town, in my opinion. The beef sauce is the perfect enchilada sauce, especially paired with the chicken. They use shredded chicken for the enchiladas, and its season and cooked to perfection. Margarita’s are tasty and hit you hard. The staff works hard and has always been extremely friendly and efficient. One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood!

I’m probably too embarrassed to give it four stars like I want to — for the breakfast tacos. And this is a *specific kind… Austin has a crapton of breffast taco offerings for sure, so if you’re looking for fancy this isn’t it. This is the I’m-craving-a-greasy-taco kind, and for that, they ROCK. The sausage egg & cheese will do you right(or bacon, egg, potato & cheese) but yeah, this is no frills tasty-bad-for-you cheap taco time and sometimes that’s just your mood. Especially if you’re hungover. So in that regard, it’s done RIGHT. Every time I’ve had these with anyone, I overhear their yummy noises so I know it ain’t just me. And evidently… the margaritas, per Kelly L! Guess I’ll have to try one soon, morning be damned!

How much fun. Great food. Locals swear by this place. I’m told the margaritas are killer. Not much to look at and definitely considered a hole in the wall, but wow, tasty ! The salsa is made daily and may vary based on spiciness by the day; great flavor. The enchiladas are primo; cheesy, chicken, etc… All good. If you are in it for the food and value, this is the place. Friends at a Riata Park address drove all the way here, because Mas has moved and used to be up there. Now, it remains a line out the door at certain times. Not always easy to find parking. Nothing high brow, but take a shot.

Ok, but odd overall. Went in near closing and the waiter said we should order two drinks if we weren’t ordering food. Umm, ok, is this a comedy club or strip club, where you gotta up the ante? Prices were fair and we were planning on having two drinks anyways, so we didn’t raise a fuss. Wouldn’t hurry back, since we don’t like having drink metrics of what you must drink by the time you leave. Odd.

Loud, crowded, limited parking, slow service, bathrooms need to fixed. I had an enchilada plate with beef gravy. There was plenty of cheese on it. It was okay. Not much else going on here. In Austin, we have better options than this.

My family has been coming here since just after Mr. Happy closed on its spot. Dad calls it «church». The enchiladas, and the fajitas are the main occasion, but the migas and roes salad are some sleepers. They serve dinner in the morning, which is good for you night shift people. And it’s a family ran local business. It gets crowded so order in if you can. But then again, fresh cheese enchiladas can’t be beat. No need to mention the margaritas.

A good local joint with good Mexican food. A simple menu with spicy salsa and entres. A vegetarian friend introduced me to this place and the waiters remember him as a regular. There is no ambience and parking gets tight. But the food is good. A tip– u must tell them separate cheques while you order if you need it. The Migas is good. I usually order #4 lunch special which is like a beef stew. The enchiladas was also great.

This place serves my favorite Beef Ranchero Enchiladas. It’s an Austin Weird casual place that you usually have to wait in line to get into.

Darn this place and their delicious cheese enchiladas, crunchy tacos, and strong margaritas. I have been known to bike there in the rain… just for the food. No, the place is NOT nice. Yes, they reallllllllllllllllllly reallllllllllllly need to consider remodeling/refreshing the place. But they know what we all think ultimately, which is the food says it all. So, I doubt they will ever spend the money to do so.

My partner and I have frequented EYM weekly over the past 5 years, sometimes twice a week. The 1+ hour wait was always worth it! But, over the last year we have noticed a change in the food and service, it slowly but surely started to decline. Our visits started to become less frequent, and tonight was our last night. We always ordered the fajita plate(combo) with double beans, no rice, no sour cream extra guacamole. It was such a treat. But, the meat became tough and the portions became smaller. We kept thinking if we go back one more time, maybe the quality would be as if it were. So sad, tonight we mourn EYM!

Num Yummmmmmy! Their fajitas are delicious. Cheese enchiladas are the best in town. Guacamole is super delicious and margaritas are strong! Hot sauce is usually super spicy. Wait til you have a drink to taste it. Family Fav!

The staff are always super friendly and the wait is always super long. The chips(in my experience) are always cold. Mediocre Texmex in a run down building with musty, dirty restrooms. I am quite puzzled by the wait times here.

Been here twice and have yet to have a good experience. First time I came in with 5 of my coworkers, they were going to close in 40 minutes and the waitress let us know that when we walked in. We told her it was fine, & I guess she might have had plans after work because her facial expression and service after that was not pleasant at all. We ordered pretty quickly or at least we tried to but when we ordered we had to change our orders since they were out of refried beans and rice. How do you run out of refried beans and rice in a Tex-Mex restaurant? The service after that didn’t get any better and the food was not great at all. At the end they did not want to split our bill, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t ask if we were paying separate or together when placing the orders. I then decided to give this place a second chance. Months later I came in with my husband and I ordered fajita nachos, I mean you can never go wrong with nachos. Right? WRONG! They brought in this plate with a hard shell tortilla with beans smothered and some nasty looking cheese with the most inedible«fajita». How can they fuck up fajita nachos is beyond me! The beef tasted like they had added bbq sauce and the big chunks were hard to chew. Again very disappointed, I shouldn’t have paid for that nasty plate I don’t even think my dog would of eaten it, and she loves cheese.

I haven’t fully decided whether or not I like the food here. I ordered Flautes once and it was so over fried I couldn’t even eat most of it. I’ve tried their Enchiladas which of course they are known for, it is also my husband’s favorite… but it was a pool of cheese. They have great margaritas and it’s not expensive visit. The place gets extremely busy! I imagine I will be visiting again next month as it’s my husband’s birthday and it will be a reason for him to get me to go! lol I will try something new.

I simply cannot understand all of these glowing reviews. The chips came out a to Tostitos bag, the salsa was only edible because I was starving. Ordered one crispy taco– meh. Wouldn’t do it again. Ordered a taco salad and it was a plate, not a bow, no taco bowl but rather some Tostitos chips lining the plate. The fajita chicken was also awful– Send the whole thing back and ordered beff enchiladas. Again, nothing to write home about. Staff very friendly. Place looks like a dump inside. Definitely will not be returning.

Came by for lunch and the wait was like 20 minutes which wasn’t the worst. The waiter was horrible, she didn’t present herself to us. She visited every other table in the resturant, while looking right at us and never came to the table. We had to actually call her to the table to get service. They had split our table, and the other folks we were with got their food first. Of course, different waiter. First ans last visit.

Came here with my visiting friends from Philly. I wanted them to get some decent tex-mex because, I’m it’s hard to come by in the northeast. We wait at the bar for a table, and have margaritas… those Rita’s were something else!!! Yes they were strong, tasty but I believe they are filled with that elusive rot gut alcohol Everclear… because it had a hint of tequila, just a hint… and one had me reeling… reminded me of my college days when the«clear» was a cheap, fast drink additive. NO bueno! not worth a headache the next day… so we all only had ONE. Onto the food. it was tasty, not the best iv’e had so far but its worth another visit. The staff was friendly and fast. meh.

I’ve been driving by this venue for years and never once did I stop in. My mistake for sure. A colleague, who is a regular, took me to Enchiladas Y Mas for lunch earlier this week and it was a real treat. The salsa and chips are AOK I would have like to have had a little more heat in the sauce but it was fine. My chicken enchilada with green chili sauce was fantastic. My colleague had his favorite the cheese enchiladas with ranchero sauce and they were top notch as well. Loved the spices in both sauces. I also watched as giant portions of their fajitas rolled by our table. I understand they make their fajitas with poblano peppers so the dish is spicy at the restaurant and really spicy the next day when you have leftovers. No way are you going to finish that humungous portion at one sitting. Prices are pretty inexpensive and service is OK. Yup Enchiladas Y Mas moves right into my lunch rotation.

The chips and salsa were yum city. The queso had a garlicky flavor which almost reminded me of an alfredo sauce in a weird way. I mean I didn’t hate it, but it is certainly different than your average queso. My crispy beef taco was good. The chicken enchilada with the sour cream sauce that I got had wonderful, tender white meat chicken as opposed to the mystery meat that seems to end up in enchiladas some times. The flavor was pretty lacking. Not exciting. The cheese enchilada was pretty good. The refried beans were blah, that seemed like they lacked salt and well, that yummy bacon-y goodness of other beans.

Little mom & pops shop. Excellent food. Waiters are very friendly. Very home like atmosphere. Tables with 4 chairs only, but surely the would combine them for bigger parties. Poster on the wall with a Mexican feel to it. The food was out standing it was hot with amazing portions for some great prices. Our bill was about $ 35 for 3 of us. I was so full after eating, as you are walking in you can see people as they left waddling like penguins because they were so full. Loved the place found a great new Mexican food place.

Muy Bueno. Not fancy. Pretty sure it’s a family owned place. Salsa is excellent. Enchilladas are very good. Especially the beef & queso. Reasonably priced.
