I usually come here for their gas since their pricing is very competitive. I have been held up when I needed to buy something inside though since the clerks are either busy, slow, or there are not enough of them working at the time. I still always come here for gas so I won’t complain too much hehe.

It’s a gas station. Plenty of junk food and drinks to satisfy your urges. Biggest complaint are the grifters in the parking/gas area shaking customers down for money with all types of sob stories. Uncomfortable and unsafe. Not sure why Exxon can’t do a better job of keeping the bad element off their property.

No stars is more like it. They stole 75.00 from me and the manager didn’t have time to discuss it due to their kids running a muck. But if you can’t handle your kids then you shouldn’t be running anything. Term the rude and unqualified manager and learn customer service.

This store demonstrates the maxim — location, location, location. Relatively clean convenience store with easy access to and from 183. Gas prices tend to fluctuate.

Tonight the basins with windshield water and squeegees were dry. Also I was tired and resigned to taking my fairly-new car through the automatic car wash. It appears to be recently upgraded so that you drive in and the wraparound machine moves around your car doing all the work. The floppy brushes that spin around your car(maybe scratching the clearcoat) are pretty hard and look like solid plastic, not like the feather-duster-like feel they used to have. They beat loudly against my car. I regretted taking the car through this wash – should’ve just waited for the next day to do a hand wash at the Sparkling Brite down the street. Now a lifetime of swirls will be visible in the car’s paint… This Exxon has lost the title of «Tracey’s Favorite Gas Station in Austin.»

I only stop here because its next to my job. Hence the convenience store. So 4⁄5 times I’ve conveniently stopped here the door has been locked. The fifth time two people were working. It’s quite inconvenient to stop at a 24 Hour store and it NOT be open. Cmon people. Monkeys could do this job and it wouldn’t even close for holidays. Speaking of closing I’ve even stopped here at like 3am on o Sunday and all the lights inside were out. I’m guessing the shift was on their marijuana break. It’s medicinal I’m sure. Don’t stop here unless you have no choice. Just continue a peck north on burnet and hit the Texaco.

This Exxon = Actual torture chamber. They should have a sign on the door = WARNING — You Forfeit your geneva convention rights by walking in the door! I hate writing bad reviews, but this Exxon sucks rocks. I once stood in a 5 person line for 10 minutes just to have the clerk put his finger up to me to «shush» while he took a cell phone call from his friend. I just put my stuff down on the counter and walked out. Over perhaps 100 visits, I’ve never once not left pissed off. It is a running joke here at the office, we call it The Black Hole. The problem is, it is right across the street from my office, so it is always tempting to pop over for smokes, a sixer on the way home, etc. Not anymore though, I’m done — cutting the cord, this Exxon is out of my life for good. In fact, I’m looking out my office window at a blank lot on the corner of 183& Burnet where it used to be before I blinked it out of my existence.
