This is a great neighborhood liquor and beer shop. I have been shopping here since I moved to the neighborhood. The beer selection is above average. You will find all the local and domestic favorites: lone star, shiner, firemans, st. Arnold, the big names, etc. They also have some more unusual finds, both local and national micros. The larger single bottle selection is impressive. Lots of good Belgiums and domestic strong brews. The liquor selection is also above average. Lots of local names: Titos, Deep Eddy, Garrison Brothers, etc., etc. I appreciate a local business that supports fellow local businesses. I can’t say much about the wines… haven’t really purchased any from them yet. The staff here is helpful and if you don’t see your favorite brand, they will try to get it if feasible. They also usually have 4 – 5 types of spirits set out for tasting. It gives you a chance to try new things without spending a ton on a bottle or a cocktail that buries the real flavor. If you don’t know what you are looking for, they are willing to help without being patronizing. You are paying a slight premium since it is a small local shop, but the small details make it worth it: friendly and knowledgable staff, tastings, local brands and very convenient neighborhood location.
