Lots and lots of books that you’ll most likely never find elsewhere! I went into it expecting lots of «hipster» philosophical selections. but was amazed by all the contemporary comics and graphic novels. Went there just as it opened on a weekday, and it was a bit on the quieter side, but still felt comfortable reading a bit rather than feeling pressured to buy things the way I’ve experienced other small bookstores.

This is an absolutely wonderful, quirky gem of a bookstore! It’s a part of what defines the East Side. If you’re looking for the newest New York Times best selling Romance novel, don’t go to Farewell! Nothing nearly so pedestrian or mundane as that there. There shelves are lined with lovingly hand-picked new and used books of the artiest, obscurest, coolest variety. I love coming here and just wandering around picking up random books to read a page or two of. You never know what you’re going to run across. Mikayla and Travis are awesome and friendly and a great wealth of information to boot. Cool artwork some clothes too. Don’t miss this shop!

Interesting, organized, and eclectic. I found a really cool, artsy book for $ 25 that was in excellent condition. I loved how everything was organized and could be easily seen. It was like walking through a mini museum! I didn’t give this place 5 stars only because I thought some of the prices were a tad high. It may be because I’m extremely frugal though. Either way, I loved the store and will be back. I had my eye on some beautiful stone rings for around $ 150. If you like vintage jewelry, fun and unique books, and interesting clothing, check this place out!

This place is awesome. Every time I’m here I spend about 2 hrs there. Formerly DOMY Books now there is a clothing/vintage store, tailoring, coffee shop along with the great selection of curated books. Some used, most new, ALL amazing. Love the collection of zines! It’s very small and there is usually only one of something but that something you buy will be amazing. Also love the art hanging on the walls! They played Aqua, Beyonce, and JLo while I was in the store so pretty much I was winning.

The Cutting Edge Aesthete’s Heaven This Store Has Small Amounts of Many Many Interesting Things. An excellent collection of complex fiction. A collection of thin awful poetry magazines. (Hey if you don’t like where American poetry is going, complain to your English prof) A very cool collection of photo books and magazines with both classic collections and new edgy stuff. A lot of art books — heavy on nouveau nudes. Some graphic novels. A very small but superlative collection of experimental music CDS. A bigger collection of obscure rare vinyl — some of which is deservedly obscure. Great great textile hangings. Some edgy clothes — some objets d’arte. Everything here is top dollar — so don’t come expecting discounts. But the collection is excellent and you will be sorely tempted to leave the store with a treat under your arm. A great place for your monthly treat if you like your culture complex, erudite and challenging.

How has this place not been reviewed yet??? I walked in through the front door and knew I’d found a little slice of heaven. Used books, vintage clothes, unique jewelry and accessories, amazing coffee, delicious food, and even a tailor. Basically, everything a well-read, well-fed aesthete could ever possibly hope for in a retail location. The book selection is interesting and impeccably curated, with plenty of unique titles. I picked up a first-edition collection of feminist critiques on film theory for myself and an analysis of H.P. Lovecraft by Michel Houellebecq for my BFF’s birthday. Prices are fair, considering that many of the titles available are rare, out of print, or otherwise hard to find. The owners are friendly and eager to discuss and suggest books with/to you. The other side of the building is a vintage/consignment shop(Las Cruxes, who have their own Unilocal page) with a nook in the back corner that’s occupied by a clothing tailor(Dress Well Tailoring), and at the very back a tiny coffeeshop(Flat Track, also with their own Unilocal page). Outside in the backyard is a vegan kosher food truck(Schmaltz). It’s a good thing that I don’t live in Austin; if I did I’d probably try to find a way to move into the building.
