I know, I know! Eating a lot of fatty meat is not really a healthy food choice. But if you are going to do it, best to chose a good company with a quality reputation and some delicious tasting products. That would be Farmer John.
My daughter will only eat Oscar Mayer bacon and sausage but for me, it is Farmer John all the way. Their maple-​flavored bacon and sausage is my favorite! Despite the fact that a pound of that maple-​flavored bacon retails for $ 6.99, it is so tasty and makes the best ingredient for omelettes, that it is well worth it.
Farmer John, despite corporate HQ’s in Minnesota is a California company. The story of Farmer John is one of backyards, stadiums and grills. The website says: «founded in the heart of Southern California, Farmer John has been providing fresh, high-​quality products ever since the doors of its humble home were opened to the public in 1931. And with the introduction of the world-​famous DODGER DOGS® hot dogs in 1966, Farmer John began a successful run of serving sports fans that continues today in just about every Southern California stadium.» It continues to this day with the ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS bacon-​wrapped hot dogs that I gobbled 2 of at the LA Rising concert and felt like I had ascended into heaven.
Even in these days of thriftiness and buying generic, I am happy to praise Farmer John. 5 Unilocal STARS for superb taste & magnificent flavor!
