Always nice to find a knowledgeable gunsmith who does good work at a fair price. I’ve had two AR lowers built here and the work has been execellent. Jobs are finished quickly and always willing to chat about new ideas. Great Shop!

A cool little spot that specializes in ARs and AR accessories. I popped by on my way to the range to get a last-minute riser for my optic. The prices were reasonable and the owner(Fletch?) was refreshingly honest about his recommendations. He let me open up and try several risers until I found one that worked. I like supporting local business, especially when they’re 5 minutes away. I’m certain I’ll be back, as my AR addiction grows.

Easy to zoom right by, but this place is a find. For a small shop they have great selection and very competitive prices. In addition, Fletch is very knowledgeable and helpful. He has been a great help to me in getting my firearms shipped down from the People’s Republic of Illinois to Texas. This place has won my business for sure!

When it comes to shooting, folks are into the sport, hobby, or competition and others even like to hunt. For me, it was not about just about purchasing a gun itself, but the peace of mind that comes with it. Knowing that I have an equalizer to protect myself and my family always has been more beneficial and confidence-restoring than therapy after an assault and two home invasion attempts. (NOTE: You should always receive training and safety instructions first before purchasing and handling ANY firearm! See my review on Texan Defender.) When it got to the point where I was too fearful to walk my dog in Steiner Ranch suburbia land, I decided that this was getting seriously ridiculous. I obtained my TXCHL and headed down to Fort Fletch. Fletch, the Owner, was just awesome. First of all, I was excited to see that we had a local firearm shop so close to my home, because a lot of the others were a decent drive away from Lake Travis/West Austin. However, I did not have to sacrifice service for location! He was extroidanarily patient with me, ordered exactly what I wanted, and then was very happy to accomodate me when I changed my mind on the Glock 19 and opted for a smaller Ruger instead for convenience. Even though the Ruger cost less, he pointed out that for the sake of convenience and ease this pistol may be a betetr match and that adding yet another 9 mm to my small collection may be redundant. Even though I am a very eager beginner, Fletch explained the pros and the cons and the intricacies of each option. He spent about two hours with me! We went through all the add-ons I asked about and even went into detail about the many various kinds of ammunition and their purposes. I was not patronized or looked down upon. His prices are very fair compared to other shops(some items a bit more, some were less). It was GREAT balance of being well informed/advised without being pressured or upsold. Fletch was more concerned that I had the best match possible for my lifestyle and what I planned to use the pistol for. I would be completely comfortable bringing some of my girlfriends here(we are starting to go to shooting ranges on ladies night!). Overall, the BEST experience I could have hoped for and as long as it doesn’t change, I am a customer for life. Even if I move to south austin next year, I will drive my butt all the way out here again to give Fletch my business.
