Very friendly staff member working this Monday afternoon. Not only did he help me out with what I was looking for, but when he asked how my day was going and I said I was waiting for a tow truck to jump my car, he graciously hopped in his car, drove over to mine with jumper cables to help me out. This guy went above and beyond customer service.

No up-selling here unlike the one on Brodie. They give you what you want without any bs. Very nicely stocked and knowledgeable help. Easy to get to, and parking is plentiful. My experience at this store was exacty the opposite of Mindy’s. I asked for a bottle of fish oil 1000, and the clerk gave me two stating there was a bogo going on, so I asked for another one pus another free one. Four bottles of 90 with my gold card was just over 19 bucks. Way to go GNC Pleasant Valley. I’ll be back. You would have to read my full review on the store on Brodie to get my drift on my initial comment on this review regarding their up-selling. Lets put it this way. I left the store on Pleasant Valley with a total of 108,000 mg of omega-3(360 capsules of 300mg), and paid a total of $ 19.17. 1917 divided by108,000 equals .018 of a cent per mg. The night before, going in the Brodie store for what I eventually purchased at the Pleasant Valley location, I somehow allowed myself to be switched into buying the triple strength, because I was assured that it was the better deal. But, is it really? I left the Brodie store having never been shown what I went in there for even though it was clearly written on a list. The clerk couldn’t get past the up-sell. I ended up with 216,000 mg of omega-3(240 capsules of 900 mg), and paid a total of $ 51.98. 5198 divided by 216,000 equals .024 of a cent per mg. A difference of .006 of a cent per mg or better stated, 33% higher for the«better deal.» The bottom line is that if you’re pill averse and are satisfied with a 900 mg dosage, which I’m neither, you can pay the extra 33% for the convenience of dealing with only one capsule.

Oh it makes me sad that I have to give this establishment even one measly little star. I was on my way home being perturbed that Hydroxycut has been pulled from the shelves and decided to stop at GNC to find a replacement. The person they had working asked me what I was looking for. I explained to him that I was looking for a replacement for Hydroxycut. He then asked me if I was taking vitamins. I told him I was not but I do eat very healthy. He then tried to sell me vitamins. I explained again that I was looking for something to boost my workout and help keep me lean and trim. Then he tried to sell me protein shakes. Finally I walk over to the weight management section and he tells me that the Excedrine is good. Puzzled, I asked him to repeat himself. Once again he said Excedrine. «Xenadrine?» I asked. «Oh yeah, my bad.» he replied. Wow these people really know their stuff. I made my selection and then decided a multivitamin couldn’t hurt me. I walked over to the vitamins for women and began looking. Once again said clerk walked over and suggested a multi vitamin. There was a big sign in front of the suggested vitamin that said the name and stated that the product was 50% off. I said«Oh, its 50% off?» He replied that you only get the 50% off if you purchase 2. That sounded like a good enough deal, that equates to Buy 1 Get 1 Free, right? I took my selections to the counter where he asked if I had a discount card. I told him I did not and he said he would give me the discount anyway in combination with the 50% off. Distracted, I scanned my card, took my purchases, and left. Once inside my car I looked at the receipt. Not only had he charged me $ 15 for a discount card I never even wanted in the first place, but he also charged me full price for both boxes of vitamins. Greeeeaaaat. I walked back in addressed the issue and he acted very confused. After I explained again he had to call his manager and ask what to do. 15 minutes later he finally figured out how to return the money to my debit card. Needless to say, I won’t be shopping here again EVER. I try not to frequent places who scam their customers. Way to fail GNC employee, way to fail.
