Gordos, please fix your prices and tell the customer what the final price is. I’ve been to your location and tried several items. Your end pricing is not correct and may be illegal. For example: You tell me that my order is $ 10 plus tax so $ 11… what is the tax rate again? then one day it was $ 10.80 total and i was charged $ 11.12. then the last time you told me $ 11 even and i was charged $ 12.78(i have transaction records to prove it). No where does it state you will be charged a certain % fee if you use a credit card vs. cash. either way, I will not eat here any longer because I don’t trust you guys any more it’s that simple. You tell me the price is $ 10, then say with tax is $ 11(which is wrong already) then my bank account gets charged even more. Sorry, but this is VERY fishy… shopper be-aware!

This place has twice been closed when the website said it was supposed to be open. We stopped to eat here once on a Sunday morning to find no one around. This time, we weren’t going to take any chances and called at 3pm as we were driving in. I spoke to a guy who confirmed they were open and would stay open until 4pm as the website promised. We arrived at 3:38 to find it deserted despite a flag outside that claimed«open». Annoyed, hungry, we were grateful to find a cute food truck park close by. Goodbye Gordo’s, never again.

Popped over here for lunch this past weekend on the way to some open houses and we’re glad we did! They have a new menu, lots of choices and options. I highly recommend their brisket burrito — BBQ style + jalapenos. They have small, medium, and super burrito sizes — the small is actually a taco and not rolled at all. They have red, green, and hot salsas — all of which were good. We just wish they came in larger containers. Two thumbs up!

Quite possibly the best brisket sandwich I’ve ever eaten. The bread doesn’t fall apart… Holds up until the last bite. I’ve been a fan of this little trailer from day one… It just keeps getting better!

This is my favorite place to eat in Austin, bar none. I watched Gordo’s grow from a little stand– type setup, into the awesome, mini-compound it is now over the last few years, and they deserve all of the success they have, and much more! The service is outstanding. Gordo and his Dad are always warm and pleasant, and greet you by name; they even bring your food out to you sometimes, which frankly they don’t need to do. The owner will hunt down a Lime Jarritos for me if there aren’t any in the ice-chest, and always has a smile… asking me how I am doing and thanking me for coming. No BS– This place is real, with amazing service, and wait, I need to talk about the FOOD. I have had a great deal of brisket living in Austin, and this is the best I have had yet. I usually get a few small breakfast burritos in the morning, which are very generous in size btw, and are filled with AMAZING, FRESH and extremely TASTY stuff; the avocados are perfect, the eggs are cooked perfectly, the bacon is cooked perfectly. Everything is so well done. It’s rare to see a place that has such high quality ingredients both in taste, prep and execution. Whatever you put in your burrito, is going to be really, really tasty. For lunch, try the BBQ burrito with coleslaw and brisket. It’s absolutely delicious. But hands down, the best thing there, is the BBQ sandwich. This is a ginormous torta(a mexican sandwich which is wide and short, almost like a longer hamburger.) The brisket on this is AMAZING. This thing will stuff you for hours, and is really, REALLY good. Again, beware, this thing is filling man… but in a good way. I have never had a long wait ONCE here, and I have never had anything even remotely approaching bad service, nor anything less than incredible food EVERYTIME. This place is special, it really is.

Fantastic brisket breakfast burritos. Smokers right outside the small but functional trailer. Recently added a covered structure and some game do you can hang out for a while.

Simply the best breakfast tacos in town. I also love that they don’t use lard in their beans. As a vegetarian this is my go-to place near the office for breakfast and lunch. They service is also super fast and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommended. Also, the price is very affordable. The portions are also VERY generous. I always get two small tacos and end up feeling stuffed.

I have eaten here many times now, and it is one of my favorite places in Austin to sit out, chat with workers from the area, business people going to and from Austin and Dripping Springs, and various recording artists that drop by to dive into bliss. Every single item has it’s own set of positives. They have burritos for those that are starving or want to carry around their food, tortas, tacos, Q, and on and on. I especially love the simple Q brisket on a flour tortilla, meat only, taco. It is always good to have one or two of these in the freezer in case of late night munchies, or if a Zombie movie marathon comes on the TV(my weakness). A brisket taco, really loaded with meat only, is $ 5.00. Two make an extremely filling lunch and be sure you use their level 3 hot sauce. They also have a great chicken fajita taco(dark meat only… which makes me happy because it is moister and has more flavor than white meat in my humble opinion) that is grilled on their outdoor grill. I have been begging them to have ½ chickens as my wife prefers white meat) and I can even do some severe damage on a ½ myself. So far no luck, but I will persist. It is really good. The bottom line here is that you can have the different types of food many ways, from tacos, to burritos, to tortas, and also BBQ by the pound on the weekend. Flexibility is what I feel makes this place shine and the eating area is very eclectic and very Austin. Oh… did I forget to mention that they recently won 1st Place in Pulled Pork at a Texas competition? Take a look at their pictures and be enlightened!

We all know their breakfast tacos are awesome. The reviews say so. 2 small breakfast tacos and I’m done. Lunch is just as good. I’ve only have had the chopped beef sandwich. That’s all I need. Great flavor and coleslaw to top it off. I was skeptical at first to put coleslaw on a chopped beef. This is the only way I’ll eat it now. Glad I found them.

A five-star rating??? Don’t take my word of it. .. don’t take anyone’s review seriously until you visit for yourself. The owners of Gordo’s are quality folks, serving great food and putting the customer first. My wife. .. loves their brisket tacos. It is a default stop before dinner on the way home!

4 tacos. 1 quesadilla. 1 can of Coca Cola. 2 bottles of water. «That will be $ 37.» Umm. What? «The tacos are $ 5 each» ??? «See the menu.» Menus says $ 3 /taco «Not that menu… The OTHER menu…» Oh. Of course. Second whiteboard menu says $ 4/taco. $ 8 for 3 tacos. Hmm… «That’s wrong…» [erases price with finger, insert surreally amazing escalation bookended with yelling] Things I didn’t have for lunch = tacos. Try other options across the street — plates of great food with a drink and side sans yelling.

Burrito legitness! They come in 3 sizes and even the small is a pretty decent size. You can take your order to go or just hang out in the gazebo or lawn.

Fat & Happy. Not politically correct, but exactly how I feel when I eat at Gordos. They used to be known just for their breakfast tacos, which were the clear winner between Oak Hill and Dripping Springs. They are only 2.5 minutes from my house by car, and I take advantage of that every time I’m home. Piping hot breakfast tacos overstuffed with fresh scrambled eggs, crisp bacon and cheese, or chorizo on the mornings I want something a bit different. And really good green or red salsa to spice it up a bit. And then they started selling Barbeque. Smoked brisket, pulled pork, beef and pork ribs. YEAHBABABABAAAAAAYBEEEE! His brisket will run with anybody’s. That’s right, I know who you’re thinking of. Anybody’s. So enough mental backtalk Slim. Just got real. Even Rocky the Wonder Dog loves Gordo’s. He does the happy dance when I take him with me. Sometimes when Gordo or his counterman are in a good mood they give me a nice hunk of brisket for him. I’m not too proud to admit that sometimes it’s a 50⁄50 split. Their ribs and sausage are terrific too, with tender beef or pork ribs and juicy sausage in thin casing. Prices are a steal for BBQ in this area. They sell sodas and water too. They just put in a covered dining area, and the parking area is well gravelled so that even in this flood weather you can walk to and from the trailer and into the seating area without getting muddy. The grounds are neat, the service is quick and every time I bite into one of his smoked brisket tacos Los Lonely Boys ‘Diamonds’ starts playing in my head and the day gets a notch and a half better.

I LOVE this place! Love love love! Their breakfast tacos are delicious! I always get an egg, avocado, bean & potato taco on corn since I don’t eat meat. But my boyfriend gets tacos with brisket and they look wonderful! He’s also tried their pulled pork, which smells AMAZING. I really appreciate that tacos come with four ingredients of your choice and they never skimp on the size. They stuff their tacos full! Their salsa is also very tasty! And if you’re planning on eating at the trailer, they’ve created a nice little seating area with shade. The view of the highway might not be ideal for some. But hey, whatever. The food is totally worth it.

I have never eaten at a food truck before so I was a little hesitant, but was pleasantly surprised. The breakfast tacos were very good and quite filling. I’m glad I only ordered 2. The price is very reasonable. I look forward to trying the BBQ soon.
