Hafernik Maury DDS

I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Maury Hafernik. About 18 years ago I got a recommendation from a good friend for her dentist, after I had a problem and my dentist at the time didn’t have a covering dentist for emergencies. He is very professional (corny jokes notwithstanding!) and I trust him completely to do the right thing, do it very well, quickly and without discomfort. I’ve had regular checkups and cleanings, as well as fillings, crowns and root canals. They would take my blood pressure when I got there from work, and it was always lower when I left! His staff is caring and helpful, they submit the insurance forms so I just pay what is not covered, and will always fit me in if there’s something serious which has come up.

Dr. Hafernik has been my dentist for about 15 years. Every time I go to his office he and his staff always greet me with smiles and great attitudes! I can’t imagine ever going to anyone else. I trust that when I go to his office I will always be treated honestly and given the best dental care. Before moving to Austin he was recommended to me by my previous dentist. I feel lucky that I was able to find him. I can’t say enough about how friendly he and his staff are and how welcome they make me feel when I’m at his office. He also has a great sense of humor!

I have been going to see Maury since 1984 and won’t change until he retires. I have never had an issue getting into see him, the staff work tirelessly to ensure insurance is filed correctly and get pre-​estimates without an issue. I have Delta Dental and they take it there. I also am a bit of a wuss, and they always numb my gums before cleaning and have never felt anything during fillings. When I needed my wisdom teeth out, he recommended I check out PPD Pharmaco — not many dentists would steer you toward a free option, but he said they do more than anyone else in town — why wouldn’t you go there? I did and didn’t have any issues. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone.

This dentist is as good as it gets in my opinion. He is 100% honest and will not try to sell you something you don’t need. That says it all!!! I honestly look forward to getting my teeth cleaned. I completely trust him and his staff. And on top of it all he’s hilarious!
