Hank Fleming Gunsmith

Outstanding, outstanding, outstanding! This is a true artist at work. He is a machinist, not just a gunsmith in my opinion. He solved a difficult assembly problem that I had (It did not seem difficult to him) and after talking about the services he provides, I was amazed. I could not believe his low price. I am coming back here for some future work. This is a bit hard to find and is behind a very small strip mall that has a pawn shop, hair place, and an eating place. I am more than satisfied.

Hank is professional, knowledgeable, and knows how to make new customers feel at ease. That’s what you want in a gunsmith.

I took my Colt 1911 to Hank to replace the pinned front sight with a Dawson Precision FO sight which required the dovetail cut in the slide. The job was done well and was ready when he said it would be. There was a wait to bring it in because of current conditions, but that time estimate was also accurate. The price was reasonable, too. I’ll definitely go back with any more work.

I’ve had many dozens of firearms tuned up, cleaned, re-​blued, or repaired by Hank and his team. I find them to be most helpful, absolutely honest, and totally reliable. Some of his professional clients that I’ve seen use his services include: Texas Rangers, military snipers, Secret Service, State Troopers, Travis Country Deputies and Austin Police Officers. It was a simple conclusion for me… if these men and women depend on Hank for their repairs, he is likely as good as it gets. I highly recommend and will continue to use Hank Fleming and staff for all my firearm repairs.

I would never take my guns there again. It took three months to get my gun back. When I got it back they said there were a couple of o rings put in the wrong order. So they simply switched them around and charged me $ 91 dollars. They didn’t have to replace any parts. Total rip off!

Great gunsmith and honest guy. I took a couple Glocks into their shop to see if they may need some work and after spending a few minutes looking at them on the spot he told me they were good to go. They easily could have taken them in done little to nothing and charged me but instead they were honest and that is greatly appreciated.

If you want to be ignored by a dumb redneck and not have work done, go here. I found Hank’s site online and it seemed like they worked on 1911 guns, so I first wrote him an email, which went unanswered. Then I called and the message says «we are only open Mon, Wed and Fri.» Ok, so I left a message, wanting to talk about my gun. Again, unanswered. Then, I was in the area on a Wed around 4 and called to make sure they were open, I was going to bring the gun in. The guy says «hank’s only here till noon every day and you need to speak to him» Ok, so left another one. Still no return. A glutton for punishment, I went by there on the next Friday and he said he could fix my gun, no problem. So, I left it there and never heard anything for days. Finally, two weeks later I call him to tell him that I need the gun as I am going out of town and he says «oh, we haven’t fixed it yet.» I tell him he’s had enough time. It was one of the worst customer experience experiences that I have ever been through and I plan on letting everyone know. Idiot.

They are the nicest and most polite folks that you would ever meet. I took in a Taurus revolver and was advised that it had a factory defect and that the gun has a lifetime warranty. They offered to ship it back for me as guns are often hard to ship. I opted to take it back to the dealer as it was a newly purchased gun. Mr. Fleming did not charge me for attempting to make the repair nor did he charge me for his expert advise. I knew that I was in good hands when local law enforcements were there trusting Hank to repair their guns. I would highly recomend Hank Fleming Gunsmith to anyone.
