Ink Lab Tattoo Studio

Had an idea for a tattoo for a long time, and other places that I’ve been to told me come up with what you want to do and then come back. Thom at Ink Lab made it an awesome experience in the fact that he took what was in my head and put it to paper then of course put it to my skin. He does an awesome job explaining how things work and why. Most definitely going back for another! I have told several friends and family about this place and most of them can’t wait to get in and see for themselves.

I want to start by saying that this is the first time I feel the need to write a review, about anything, whether being a restaurant, a bar, or any kind of store!
I already had the idea of my next tattoo for a while, and while visiting Austin with my wife, we decided to visit a couple of tattoo shops. I came across Thom Rein at Ink Lab and chatted with him about my idea. I was a little bit nervous since it was a bigger piece than what I would usually get for a walk-​in. However, Thom was extremely honest about his strengths and even more about his weaknesses (there were not a lot but he talked to me about his specialties and his least favorite styles). And in this day and time, I seriously admire honesty, its rare to find!
Went to the back, drew up a design, changed it twice to what I wanted without pushing me into anything I did not want, and a couple of hours later, tattoo was done!
Awesome, talented artist, and a really great person! Would give more starts if I could. And now, without thinking twice, I know for sure where Im going for my next tattoo!

Give this shop a try. It clean and inviting. The artist are all experience at providing the customer a good outcome.

I got a tattoo done a few days ago by Tanner. All the guys seem awesome and Tanner did a great job! This a laid back, not pretentious shop with a comfortable atmosphere. I’ve been other places that seemed uninterested or «too good» to do a tattoo that meant a lot to me and I didn’t get that feeling at all here. They were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this shop my tattoo is perfect and exactly what I wanted.

Christopher Hedlund has been working on my back piece for a little over a year. Plan is to have my back completely covered. The work is absolutely fantastic. Everywhere i go. i get constant complements from everyone who see’s the current art work Chris as created! I would not recommend anyone else but Chris for his unique style and professionalism.

Chris Hedlund has done amazing work on my back tattoo! I’m so excited to complete it! He listened carefully to what I wanted and created a beautiful design for me that stays true to the original painting I chose. His work with flowers (sunflowers in particular) are exquisite and I get compliments all the time! I recommend Chris because his creativity and artistry are fantastic and his cover-​up work, I know, will prove to be amazing!

Chris Hedlund at Inklab has done beautiful work on my back. He is a truly creative artist and very patient person.
