We had wonderful pancakes at the International Café. I’ve eaten breakfast there several times while passing through Austin and of all the things on the menu, the pancakes are the best. Order the single pancake if you have a small to medium appetite and two if you’re hungry — they’re the size of the plate and thick! The coffee was nothing special — typically weak, restaurant coffee, but the pancakes are magnificent!

I didn’t have high hopes judging by the outside, but don’t judge a book by it’s cover. We had an excellent avocado cheddar burger. And the iced tea, potato salad and chili were all excellent. Considering how remote you are this place was a welcome relief especially after a flat tire in the desert.

Good breakfast and great service! Stopped here after camping at Sand Mountain. Definitely good size portions! I had a breakfast with eggs, hash browns, and ham and the ham was a very thick ham steak cooked to perfection. Hash browns weren’t as crispy as I typically enjoy them, but my boyfriend’s were better. The breakfast also came with bread and it was top notch. Thick and tasted homemade. They are a little pricey, but it was definitely a stop that was worth it to us.

Everyone is entitled to a bad day, but our waitress was probably the most disinterested, unfriendly person who has ever served me very average food. The cook looked like they could have used a hair net and possibly a bath! Why is it that these little out-of-the-way cafes act like the tourist dollar is somehow dirty? The next time I pass through Austin, I’m going to bring my own food and do this café a favor by NOT stopping in.

Fantastic breakfast! Diamond in the rough. We are so glad we stopped here. All 4 of us ordered something different and all 4 meals were delicious and top quality. Generous portions; you will not walk out hungry, and if you do than it’s your own fault! ;)

Good breakfast. Good burgers. Out of this world sausage. Vic calls it chorizo. It’s a spicy Basque not Mexican. Made special for Vic. Get it for breakfast or on a bun. Don’t trip on the wooden side walk.

Had a great breakfast. Huge omlette! Home made hash browns, the kind you never see anymore. DELICIOUS service was great as well. Jim was the server. Nice friendly place. Next time I drive through I will be stopping once again.

Exactly what you would expect from a small town in Nevada. Menu is typical bar/comfort food. Hamburgers are decent and fresh made. Chicken fried steak is also fresh made which is better than most places that keep them frozen. Good sized salads although the croutons are a little soggy. My guess is that the salads are pre-made and the moisture in the lettuce soaks into the croutons. Very good service! Overall, a good place to eat.
