We have got to the point where we don’t want to buy fiberboard furniture anymore and started looking around for good looking, solid wood and dark stained furniture. We visited Jaya and instantly wanted to buy everything, but limited ourselves to a round four top teak table and four arm chairs.(For now). All the wood is either reclaimed or plantation grown, and they finish some of the pieces in house. Basically, everything looks great, and their reasonable prices get even better with the frequent mark downs when this or that line gets discontinued. We will probably end up furnishing half our house out of this store. Staff are friendly and helpful as well.

This is one of my very favorite furniture stores in Austin. It has things that you won’t find anywhere else and it’s also not crazy overpriced. Everything we’ve ever purchased from there brings so many compliments from our friends and everyone that comes to our house always asked«wow! where did you get that?» The answer is almost always, «JAYA» The thing that keeps us coming back is the employee that is always there when we go. She is SO cool and SO helpful. Their staff doesn’t follow you around and bug you while you’re shopping, they’ll check in on you and then wait at the front incase you have a question or need help. The service is so friendly and personable and we’ve enjoyed talking to them every time. When we need a new, unique, amazing piece of décor, THIS is where we go.

Great customer service! I have a 71″ round dining table that I purchased from them 2 years ago and this winter it developed some cracks. I called Jaya and within a few days they picked it up to repair it. Told me it would take a week to repair and return back to me. They returned it exactly when they said they would and I cannot even see where the repairs were made. It looks like a new table!

Unique pieces, really reasonable prices, and the staff was extremely helpful. I chatted with the owner for a little while and he couldn’t have been nicer. Will shop here for my home and office again. Highly recommend!

Stunningly beautiful furniture and lots of unique items but the stuff is not cheap I almost bought a dining room table from Jaya but found something a bit cheaper. This place carries a lot of stuff made out of wood.

I love the fun and unique things in here. The sales associate was very helpful and friendly. They had some really neat things and they also have a large warehouse offsite you can go to and see more peices. Most items are from China and India.

I grew up in the same country as many of the items sold in Jaya. I love the style of the furniture there, I love teak, I love wood carvings, batiks, all the nick-nack sold there. Nine years ago, after a remodeling of our house, we found the need to furnish several rooms. I wanted an Indonesian look so I decided to gather up some friends and together we imported a 20 ft container worth of furniture from Bali and Java, Indonesia. Obviously, we can’t be buying that much furniture all the time. So when I wanted to buy my husband a desk chair for his birthday, I came to Jaya. That was April last year. In just a little over a year, that chair is now broken. When he sat on it, he could move back and forth and the chair would wiggle with him. Eventually, the chair’s arm broke off. My husband did sit on it everyday at his desk when he’s working. But he’s not an overly big man or even very rough with the chair. Just for comparison, he had used another chair(that we imported) for eight years, without any issues. He only needed a new one last year after one of our children accidentally tipped it over and broke the arm. I took the broken birthday chair to Jaya warehouse. The repair guy said he could fix it for me for $ 50-$ 60. I bought the chair for $ 250. He said he could not guarantee that the same thing would not happen again, because after the main structural design of the chair was broken, it’s hard to fix — which I supposed it’s a fair and honest statement. He offered us another option: a new chair from Jaya, with 50% off the list price. I don’t want to be in a position where I have to spend $ 60 every year to keep fixing the chair. I also don’t want to buy another chair, if it’s not going to last me a long time, even if it’s half off. So sadly, we decided to not take either options. I may still go back to Jaya to buy their nick-nacks and small home furnishing. But probably not a chair.

It seems some furniture and decorations are imported from Indonesia. They said they import them from South East Asia. Most furniture are wooden. Indonesians are good at wood carving. Also they grow good trees for furniture. Most of them are very heavy, like Albany trees. The prices are high because of shipping cost.

i may be difficult at times but when i walk into a store i like to be acknowledged. that may be asking for much… but honestly, jaya’s employees surely need a lesson in customer service. it would also be a plus to put down your phone because i hear your conversation about last night’s party and you can call this person back when i leave the store. i also see you surfing the web. maybe if you spent more time engaging me in conversation i would buy something in here. p. s. i know another store a few blocks down that has some of the same items at lower prices. so there!
