Junior’s Beer and Wine

This place is so great. Great selection, and unbeatable prices.
Craft-​your-​own 6-​packs of a great variety of beer. The people working were very knowledgable and willing to help.
For anyone who likes beer, I would recommend grabbing some from here.

Great seasonal selection on beer and they price per six back and bottle so you can mix and match. The owners are really nice and are always happy to offer both small talk and suggestions. Wine selection is not as great but definitely stop by if you are into craft beer.

This place is as good as it gets. I have always enjoyed the friendly customer service at juniors, however tonight really is an all time show stopper for me. I have a golf cart that we often drive around in the area and tonight, as we were driving to get a bite to eat, my golf cart just quit running directly across the street from Juniors. It was too late to rent a trailer and I didn’t want to leave it in the parking lot overnight. I walked over to Juniors and the owner offered to allow mw to use his trailer to haul our golf cart home. The tires on his trailer were flat and he took the time to air them up while at the same time rushing in to wait on customers. I was able to get our golf cart home safely and the owner was just happy that everything worked out. It doesn’t get any better than that! You just don’t see that kind of customer service these days.

Ordered kegs and bottles from Junior’s for our wedding reception. They were incredibly helpful in helping us determine how much beer to purchase for the number of guests we were having.
They are reasonably priced, provided everything we needed for the party, and delivered our order on time and to a far destination.
My husband and I can’t say enough good things about this place! We will always go to them for any large orders… and small ones too :)

Best place in town for great craft beers.
Don’t waste your money at Specs with their beer non-​experts. Jason and the gang at this place are the folks to speak to. Tell them what you’re looking for and they have something for ya.
I’ve gotten some very, very quality brews from them. They’ve made a fan out of me.

They sell alcohol to the homeless… resulting in the homeless camping out across the street where I live.
We have had homeless breaking into our yards late at night, kicking our doors in because they are drunk.
I wish they would respect the neighborhood and help keep the streets safe.

I was visiting Austin for the first time and in charge of planning a 20 person bachelor party. Although I never actually visited the location, they were great to work with and I’d definitely recommend for delivery. Junior’s was very accommodating in delivering our kegs since we kept changing the amount needed. For me, being able to reach them promptly by both phone and email was especially convenient. We worked with Jason and couldn’t have expected better service, thanks guys!

My favorite beer shopping experience so far in Austin. This small local joint offers a wide variety of beers, and I have so much fun making a mixed six-​pack (the mixed six is a great house-​party gift too!). The owners are always happy to talk to you about what’s new, what you might like, and are just friendly. The wine selection is pretty limited, but seems like they have at least one of every variety if you need it… which I don’t because I’m always there for beer!

Very convenient location for craft beers if you live in the area… the people are friendly and they have a generally wide selection of beers.
Prices are a little higher than grocery store. The management changed over a few months ago-​the beer knowledge of the people working there now ranges from paltry to excellent.

Good prices, good service. What else can be said?

I’ve used Juniors for 10 years and am sad to say it’s really gone down hill. We ordered kegs for our wedding in October and one was flat. We decided to give them another shot and ordered a keg for a party this weekend. We ordered 2 weeks early but the manager forgot to get the beer we requested. They replaced it with a lower quality beer and still tried to charge us full price. Then they gave us a broken tap. So 4 hours later we still couldn’t drink the beer. They refused to give us a refund and told us there were no drivers available to bring us a tap that worked. We made 2 trips to the beer supply store to fix it ourselves before they were able to get us a new tap. I’ll never go there again.

Friendly staff and probably a fine place to self-​pickup a 6-​pack or keg/​equipment.
However, we recently hired them to deliver and then pick up 3 kegs for our wedding. We called them several times before the day and each time they had some part of our order wrong and we had to clarify. On the day of the wedding, they did deliver what we ordered on time, but were late for the pick-​up and by the time they showed up, we’d already cleared out of the place.
So we called them to have them come to our house to pick up, and after several arranged times, their guy never showed up. We finally brought the kegs back ourselves once we got tired of having them take up space in our garage.
The staff was apologetic about everything, but I wouldn’t recommend Juniors for delivery/​pickup, especially not for an important event.

Other than kegs, Junior’s offers a 6 pack mix of whatever you want at a pretty decent price. I LOVE that! There is so much good beer at Junior’s :)

What to say? Junior’s makes being a dedicated beer drinker easy.
They’ve recently upgraded their online system allowing me to even reserve my keg with a little clickity click. Their willingness to source my occasional unusual request has always been met with helpfulness.
And the guys that work there? All super helpful and plain friendly.
Junior’s has my loyalty. Selection, service and a little humor mixed in go a long way, with me anyway. Hiccup.

Okay, the state shut down their biodiesel service. They still have a good beer selection. Anyone want to loan the owner $ 8k so he can make the improvements required by the state to sell fuel? I’m very sad!!!

To step into juniors is a step back into a more innocent time when the neighborhood icehouse was your source for constant beer. This place is nothing more than a shack with a big refrigerator. I appreciate the simplicity of the operation and the community feel of the place. If you live in north or west campus you can rest assured that a journey to Juniors will never be in vain, unless of course they are closed.
They have lots of kegs here and the kegs are at a good price and contain decent beer. Most importantly they have Full moon pale Rye: a difficult to find beer in some neighborhoods.
What moves me most about the place though is the sense of community. Here you can talk to the dude at the counter about beer about life about the goings on of the neighborhood. On third Thursday you can take shelter from the chaos. They really are nice here.
There are of course the various hangers on at the store who may appear sketchy at first glance until you have a chat and realize that they are part of the Juniors family. While I don’t live in this neighborhood I still hope to someday meet the dude who shall forever be known as «junior» and thank him for his store.

Judging from their air-​brushed box truck, I’d say Juniors does the bulk of its business delivering kegs to college students. But you can drive up to their dilapitated shack in west campus and get carside service from a true «slacker». It’s like a living diarama in Austin’s natural history museum. All points for style.
