Kevin has an uncanny way of helping you come out of your shell and become open to having your picture taken.
I am more on the tense, unable to relax, self conscious side of things so to have a good experience and pictures that I think turned out really well is a big win.
I highly recommend Kevin for anyone looking for professional pictures!

I can’t imagine anyone being more passionate and thorough about creating the best headshot than Kevin. He is interested in getting to know your emblematic qualities and bringing them out in your photos, including music choices, getting you to talk about your role and strengths in your profession while he shoots you. Kevin also gives you great tips for how to look your best going into the shoot. He was also flexible on the schedule and turnaround on the image when I had an immediate need. This is the person you want to take your headshot.

I had headshots taken by other photographers in Austin, but from now on I’ll go straight to Kevin. I am thrilled with my final headshots, and I had the best experience with him during our session. Our session was easy and fun. He instantly made me feel at easy by taking the time to discuss the type of actor I am and by discussing the types of shots I was looking for. He offered helpful direction and didn’t rush. His easy going personality combined with his talent with a camera make him an excellent photographer. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

As an actress and makeup artist, I’m always on the lookout for good photographers. I met Kevin back at a film class he instructed, so I already knew he had extensive knowledge and experience behind the camera. With great photography skills and a chill personality, picking him to take my head shots was definitely the right decision. He’s just as professional as he is comfortable to be around, which are both important factors when choosing a photographer. I definitely recommend going with Kevin if you need head shots taken!

Kevin is great!
We scheduled a pre-​shoot meet-​up where he asked me questions about myself and what I was looking for in my photos. I felt that he really cared about the way I wanted to present myself through my headshots. He guided me through the process, making me feel like I was going to be 100% satisfied with the end result, and I totally am.
When we did the actual shoot, I felt comfortable and confident. He talked to me throughout, and helped me get in the mindset of what I was trying to portray in my photos. After the shoot I was able to look through the pictures, and I could tell there were many great shots. It was difficult to make a selection on specific photos, but he gave me his own insight which made that a little easier.
I’m so happy with my headshots, and he gave me advice on printing as well (which was much appreciated).

I completely agree with all the other reviews here. Kevin is super talented, professional, and fun.
I am totally shy around the camera and hate having my picture taken. He gave really good direction and made me feel comfortable. He listened to my goals and what I want to do with these pictures beforehand. He was also totally understanding around a scheduling issue and was easy to work with.
The session went by quickly but we were able to get a lot done. I had tons of photos to chose from and could have easily picked a handful. I would recommend Kevin to anyone!

I had been looking for a photographer for a while for some updated headshots and ran across Kevin’s profile here on Unilocal.I did some more digging and «comparing» and decided on Kevin. Our entire communication was via email which is what I like. He suggested a venue for our shots, I showed up and had a great time! I don’t like pictures taken of me but Kevin made me comfortable and eased my tension.

I was about to go for another photographer to get some headshots done, but after reading the reviews for Kevin, I decided to pay a little more to ensure what I got was quality. He did not disappoint. I have some social anxiety and getting photographed was something that I was stressing over. Luckily Kevin is really down to earth and friendly. It wasn’t long before I was much more relaxed during the shoot.
On top of that, he helped me pick the clothes I should wear and bring to the shoot, and gave me names for casting agencies. I showed some of the pictures to my parents and they were impressed. If you’re going to get headshots done in Austin, Kevin is the way to go.

I needed a professional headshot taken for an online biography for work. Since this was my first time getting a headshot taken, I was unsure of the process and how it would turn out. Kevin made the photo session fun, quick, and easy. He took the time to ask what I envisioned for my photo so that he could work with me to produce something that I would like. Kevin was quick to reply and schedule a shoot with me. I told him the types of looks I needed to get and he really helped me to achieve them. When one approach wasn’t working he called it and quickly thought of another to help me get the right expression on my face. So helpful! The pictures came out beautiful, natural, crisp, and real. I’ve done a few headshot sessions so far in my new acting career, and they were all good in their own way. I feel Kevin was able to catch me in both a genuine and marketable way.
During the session, he talked to me, getting me to feel comfortable and we worked together to get ‘that perfect shot.’ He doesn’t rush, takes his time and really cares about his work.
At the nonprofit I work for, we had Kevin take photos of our event, A Night Under One Sky, and our Executive Director was in awe of the photos. She wants him to photograph more of our events, like our major fundraising event, the Hope Awards.
I’ve received numerous compliments on the photos he took of me, several people wanted him to take their photo and even a few dates (wink).

Numerous LA casting directors and agents have complimented me on Kevin’s headshot. He is one of the most ego-​less photographers I have ever worked with. He’s able to establish a sense of friendship that puts his subjects at ease and brings out the best in them. There is an intense presence, vibrance and naturalness to all his headshots.
