Kids Campus Learning Center

As a new mom going back to work, having to put our baby in daycare was a heart-​wrenching transition that I had to make. After months of pretending to be a stay-​at-​home mom during my maternity leave, I knew it was going to be difficult to part ways for 9 hours a day with our new babe. After all, another person was going to have more waking hours during the day with my new baby than I was going to have — at least during the week. So it was very important to me to find the right care givers.
I can’t tell you how many daycares I toured. I brought a huge list of questions to each one, took about an hour at each daycare that could’ve been a contender, popped in unexpectedly to see how the teachers were with the kids and spent time trying to get to know the teachers. I did this for a month before visiting a daycare a colleague I trusted recommended — Kid’s Campus.
I can only speak for the infant room, but I would tell any parent that Kid’s Campus is a very warm, loving, safe and special place. It does not feel in the least institutional — it feels like a home. From the admins to the teachers, we have been treated so well by the entire staff. My son’s teachers (Lacy, Megan and Christina) are simply amazing. They truly love children and it shows — and I have never once seen any of them get overwhelmed or frustrated even when two or three babies are crying at the same time. They are so on it — so aware of all the kids and what they’re doing. At the end of the day when I pick up bebe, they don’t just tell me ‘Oh, he had a good day.’ They go into detail. They can tell me who he played with, what toy he liked, that he gobbled up his cereal or if he didn’t seem interested, if he was his normal happy self or if they were worried that he might be getting sick. Several months back I went to pick him up and Christina mentioned to me that she was afraid he wasn’t acting himself and told us to keep a close eye on him. Sure enough, he got sick that night and we took him to the doctor the next morning. But all three of them are that perceptive — and that is a sigh of relief to a new mom.
The cost is a little more than what you might pay elsewhere ($ 940 a month for an infant with a $ 55 supplies fee twice a year) but it is money well-​spent in my mind. He is our family’s priority, and it’s good to know that when I have to leave him for the day, he is someone else’s priority, too. I am so grateful to Kid’s Campus for their clean, cute facilities and all the love, comfort and cuddles they provide to our baby every day.
