My 8 year old son has taken classes here for about a year and a half and he loves it! In fact, we all like it so much that that his 6 year old brother couldn’t wait to get started himself. They both love going to class. And I love that it is something that they can share and do together. They both attended a summer camp this year and thought it was so fun. With 4 kids, I know we’ll be regulars here for a long time!

My son has been taking KSW for over a year in the Tiny Tigers program and loves it. He has progressed greatly all due to the staff. Tim, Barbara and the other staff are very passionate about both KSW and their students. The teaching of respect, confidence and discipline that we try to teach at home have been mirrored at the school which was very important to us.
I too joined KSW last June as an activity to do with my son. The school offered the month of June for free to Dads in celebration of Father’s Day. Three other dads joined also in June so for other dads thinking of joining, there are fellow men of age and ability. KSW has proven to be both a great physical and mental workout which will serve anyone well who is looking for a decompress from work.
My son and I hope to enjoy KSW together for many years and God willing, we will both promote to black belt one day!

My son and daughter both attend Kuk Sool Won of Oak Hill and they love it. KSW is a wonderful community of students and instructors who readily welcome new additions. The instructors are terrific with everyone, but especially with the younger students. They’ve been doing it long enough to know when a student is ready to try something a bit more challenging. They have helped both my children develop self-​confidence and discipline, for which I am very thankful.

I Love Kuk Sool Won of Oak Hill! My 7 year old son, is a much more cerebral kid and this has been fabulous for his physical fitness and confidence! The teachers are fabulous! They have a flexible schedule and they even have spring and summer camps that have been fantastic. We plan to be with Kuk Sool for many years to come!

We love KSW Oak Hill! Sophie was hooked from the first time we went to observe a class this spring.
The instructors are fantastic… they know each child by name, which I think is awesome, considering many of the classes are pretty large!
The students are not just «kids in the class»… they are treated as individuals, and taught at the pace that is appropriate for their rank. It is obvious that the instructors truly want the students to be successful in the art of Kuk Sool, and in all other areas of life. KSN Barbara was especially helpful and encouraging with Sophie this summer, when she fell behind because of not being able to come to class often enough. Because Tim and Barbara did not want my kiddo to give up or lose her confidence, PKJN Tim set aside time to work with Sophie individually in order to get her caught up on what she had missed while she was gone.
Our family is looking forward to Sophie’s first tournament this year, and we are very happy to be a part of the warm KSW Oak Hill family.

My oldest daughter has been studying martial arts with Mrs. Barbara and Tim for a couple of years now and absolutely loves it! She started at 3 years old and has enjoyed it from day 1. Her confidence and skills are exceptional and we thank that staff at KSW for that. My youngest daughter has started as well, I didn’t think this little firecracker would last but only after a few months, she is already counting in korean and showing off her skills to family and friends. I can’t say enough about this wonderful program!

KSW Oak Hill has a fantastic program for kids! Never did I think a dozen 3 – 5 year olds could be a class of anything beyond Mayhem, but Mr. Tim and Mrs. Barbara King proved me wrong! My 3 year old Grandson was so shy he would not join in the first class, but sat in the back w/​me moving his arms, he was like a statue… slowly over a couple of months, he transformed into a child who gleefully counts in Korean and joyfully participates w/​his classmates! This is due to the structure, discipline and respect displayed by the Instructors and the incredible teen assistants! Our favorite portion of class is the fun, challenging obstacle course! Kuk Sool Won Oak Hill is a valuable asset to our community offering parents night out, Easter Egg Hunts, etc. I am proud to give 5 stars to KSW Oak Hill.

My husband and I absolutely LOVE Kuk Sool Won! Our boys have only been in the Tiny Tigers class for a couple of months, and we’re already impressed with how much improvement we have seen so far. Our two boys are an absolute handful, but the instructors at Kuk Sool Won have been nothing short of masterful in the way they redirect all of that 3-​year-​old energy into a positive and more disciplined direction. Once our kids are old enough, my husband and I both plan on enrolling in the family classes so we can all participate together. Can’t recommend this place enough!

My son has been training with Kuk Sool Won of Oak Hill since he was five years old. He’s now thirteen and a first degree Black Belt with sights set on his second degree. My wife and I cannot say enough good things about Mr. King and all of the instructors here. Everyone is highly professional and at the same time extremely approachable. The school really is like having an extended family. Through all of the discipline and rigorous instruction the importance of participation and inclusiveness are what make this particular school so special to us.
Our son’s Martial Arts training has certainly helped him to become a self assured, confident young man. His training has helped him to more easily meet new challenges and excel in many areas in which his Kuk Sool Won training didn’t at first seem to come into play. It is wonderful to know that this is something that he can grow with. Unlike so many sports that become difficult to stay involved with as one ages this is one that a person can continue to advance in as they grow older.

When my very spirited nine year old son, Lucas, showed interest in taking martial arts, I must admit, I was less than enthusiastic. I had some martial arts experience with my older children and wasn’t convinced of the benefits for Lucas. Kuk Sool has completely change my perception! Tim King and the teaching staff have a true talent in working with people. While learning respect and discipline, Lucas is also getting a complete physical workout at each class and has been very proud of himself for his accomplishments. Kuk Sool is now the highlight of his week and has had a very positive impact on his self esteem.

I love Kuk Sool Won of Oak Hill! I have been training in KSW, on and off, for the past five and a half years, and non-​stopped at Kuk Sool Won of Oak Hill for the past two. Everyone here is very nice, knowledgeable and respectful. My training has changed my life and given me a better outlook on life and my own physical wellbeing, not to mention how much fun it is.
