They are so incredibly helpful with picking out your beads and actually helping me make my necklace. They also hold workshops where you can learn various skills in beading. One time I stayed and beaded my necklace while other ladies were beading as well and it was so fun! It’s a great atmosphere and everyone is so genuine and helpful.

I love this place!!! Just got back from Lapis Lane Beads. I am a total novice at jewelry making. I am very crafty and sew well but have not made jewelry. I have a friend that wants me to make a bracelet for her like one I was given by my parents years ago. I showed my bracelets and earrings to the 2 ladies in the store and gave full disclosure that I wasn’t a jewelry maker and we all brainstormed the best way to make the bracelets and which products to purchase. They gave me options with products they had in the store and also recommended other places to try for different products. They were both helpful, honest and I would highly recommend this store be your first stop for jewelry making.

It’s refreshing to go to a small business which is the run the way you would think every business would be run. The employee offered to help us but was not pushy in any way. We were not rushed. My friend was the bead person, not me, but I can appreciate the organization and the service. My friend had a hard time choosing because of all the great stuff there. They did not get a bad attitude because we paid with a groupon deal. If you want a bead store, you can’t go wrong here.

This place is great! They have a large selection of finished jewelry available for sale from local artisans, beads, tools, books, supplies, findings in sterling silver, gold-filled, and base metal — just about anything a beader could want. The selection of strands is very large with very nice quality stones. They have also expanded their selection of individual beads/stones(for those who don’t want or need an entire strand). The Swarovski selection is nice and the Chinese crystal section keeps getting bigger every time I go. There is also a nice selection of Czech glass, seed beads, and the latest and greatest — DELICAS. The gemstone selection has also expanded and the display case is full of many pretties. The staff is always friendly and super helpful. It’s so cool to have a really NICE bead store in town — a place you can go for that special item, for help or to have questions answered. They also do repairs and re-stringing. *****

I didn’t know this store was on Bee Caves Rd.(in the Walgreens lot, veer to the right). The Owner said they used to located on Burnet Rd. This place is a cross between Legendary Beads, and Nomadic Notions, only more organized. The bead assortment was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Please help a cool Austin business stay around. BTW, this store also has classes, Girls Night Out parties, and kids parties.

I had a great first experience at Lapis Lane Beads today. Connie was friendly and helpful, and while the store is hidden when you first approach, it’s definitely worth the extra couple of minutes it takes to find it. And after all, that’s only on your first trip — once you know where you’re looking, it super easy to get to. Why not 5 stars? The selection is good, but not as extensive as Legendary Beads. And I could be mistaken(and not comparing apples to apples on the types of materials), but it seems like it might be priced slightly higher than some of their competition. Having said that, I’ll definitely be back. While not as vast, I loved almost everything I saw in the store(whereas at some of the other stores, there is a lot of inventory that just isn’t my style). Overall, a solid option for jewelry making supplies.

Bead and craft lovers of West Lake Hills, you’ve got to check this place out! They have an amazing selection of beads, pearls, charms and tools, as well as lots of really charming ready to wear jewelry. It’s in a sweet little space right next to Austin Driving School, behind the Popeye’s on Bee Cave Road. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. This is a really unique place, great spot for a little girls’ bracelet making party or girls night out.

This is such a heavenly place to visit. I went in one day needing a little circle of metal to make a necklace clasp close. The owner was so helpful, she even got out her special needlenose pliers to help put the ring on, with no charge! Also: all jewelry stores should be in old houses. Big windows, hardwood floors, not intimidating at all, and the owner is so very kind and helpful, ready to mentor in jewelry purchasing or making. Whenever I drive on Burnet I stop in here just to feel the great energy of the place. It is peaceful and creative. I think most of the jewelry /art for sale is local, and also totally affordable. They have a good selection of crystals, beads, gemstones, tools, silver, wires, etc.

Awesome new bead store serving Central Austin conveniently located inside The Art Pad at 45th and Burnet LN. Excellent selection of semi-precious stones, Swarovski crystals, seed beads, glass and base metal beads, tools and findings. They also sell finished goods by local artisans on consignment. They will be offering some classes soon and do parties for young and old! Great atmosphere and friendly knowledgable employees.
