Lonestar Electric

A living person answers the phone, and he’s the owner, Evan, an experienced electrician. He helped me diagnose my issue over the phone, to ensure that he wasn’t sending a crew to do something simple that I could have done myself.
What Evan diagnosed on the phone as the likely issue ended up being something that I COULD have tried myself: change a switch. But I decided to let his guys do the work, just in case things got complicated, and because I myself would not have figured out that diagnosis. The diagnosis turned out to be accurate, but the simple job turned out to be complicated by the geometry of the situation.
It was mid afternoon and Evan had an electrician, Dale, out there that very day, which was a surprise. Dale arrived promptly and conducted himself with high competence, professionalism, and even humor.
(I live in Michigan, but used Lonestar while visiting my mother in Austin, to help around the house.)

This an update to my earlier review this year of LONESTAR ELECTRIC. Evan is truly a remarkable, honest, decent man. Once again, he was the ONLY electrician willing to answer our call of distress. Our main circuit breaker finally died & we were without electricity from 1:35 am till his great Assistant Keith arrived and fixed us up with a new main circuit breaker. It’s a truly helpless feeling to be without electricity in the middle of the night AND then to be at the mercy of a trade you don’t understand. Evan from LONESTAR ELECTRIC is a one of a kind small businessman that cares about people and empathizes with your situation. I called Evan at Lonestar on Friday January 23^rd around 2pm. I didn’t expect them to be able to help me that day, but he was able to send someone out on a Friday afternoon to solve a problem at one of my rental properties. My tenant has electric space heaters and they kept blowing the breakers. They were able to put correct wiring and outlets in so the heaters work now.
