Got the mixed fajitas(beef and chicken), and queso. Fajitas were soaking in some kind of oil sauce which made it pretty yucky. That made for soggy onions and peppers also. I get fajitas because they are generally healthy overall, but I felt like an oily mess after eating these. The queso wasn’t up to par either. Salty, and the flavor of the cheese was odd — not what I love about typical Mexican restaurant queso. Their homemade corn tortillas and black beans are great.

Holy moly I will never ever go here again. The owner is not smart about customer service at all! Arguing with the only customers in your restaurant is not a very smart idea. Had an issue with happy hour Rita’s that he was absolutely refused to fix, and wanted me to pay for extra tortillas that the waitress rang in in the first place. Horrible customer service, actually none, argumentative, talking over me, not listening to me or my husband and refusing to take $$ off the bill for the errors. Never going back. The 2 stars are for the food and service. Negative stars for the owner. Yuck.

World class service(1), excellent fixed-price lunch specials(7.99 with iced tea included), and very tasty food. Superb place. 1: I don’t say this lightly. The service was comparable to restaurants with $$$ in the price range. Hope they keep this up.

Have eaten here a few times. Food is salty. Staff is always very pleasant. Fajitas are different than most places — more saucy than other Tex-mex restaurants. Good salsa and chips.

I love Pino’s but it is a hit or miss. I sit outside with my dogs and enjoy the patio area which is cozy and private. BUT the fact is the wait staff either is very good or very bad or wait for an hour for service I usually eat there on weekends, Mondays or Thursdays. It is like Russian roulette you just don’t know what service you will receive. The Mexican food there is really good but like I said some days better than other days .My favorite is the enchiladas and crispy tacos. I would give them a five star only if they improve the long wait for service or be consistant with the food. When they serve quality food which is very good and consistant I will love to change it to a five star rating but for now I love the ambiance of the patio area. Which I really enjoy has a small water fall for relaxing touch. So for now they get a four star for now.

We typically go on weekends. This is our new go-to for Mexican in the area. There is normally a lovely server with an English accent. She is very nice and the service is prompt. We have had breakfast here and lunch twice. Every time the food was very tasty. We normally have burritos. Everything is seasoned well, not like all the other bland Tex-mex. There are a couple of things I would like to see them improve because we like it here and want them to stay around. #1 the sign out front is horrible. I drove by this place everyday for a year and never knew it was there. #2 Fix the front door. I have left assuming it was closed and I have seen others do the same while I was dining there. The door sticks to the point that you think it’s locked. #3 invest in cups. It’s weird to drink out of cups with other companies advertisements. Like trade show left overs. It’s kind of tacky. #4 reconfigure the dining room. It’s not inviting at all. The booths look like an after thought and it seems really strange when you walk in and half the place is dark. Just suggestions. I bet if you get better signage the traffic doubles.

Three stars are not for the food it’s for service! Love to eat there but if you want to sit outside… forget about it! Get ready to wait 30 min for the menu then 30 min to get order from you then 45min to get you food… And only two of them?

This is a sad review for me to write. We have been going to the Bee Cave location for two years. Up until two weeks ago, I would have rated them 4 – 5 stars. We always saw the same wait staff. They always recognized us. They were very friendly. The homemade flour and corn tortillas were out of this world. It was a staple in our weekend diet. However, two weeks ago we went there on a Saturday as usual. There was an entirely new staff. My husband and I ordered our usual breakfast tacos. This time the tortillas were clearly warmed up store bought tortillas. My youngest son always orders chicken nuggets. They used to serve Dino nuggets, so when they said they would be serving chicken strips I was very glad. Unfortunately, the chicken strips were raw on the inside. My son nearly puked. Even some of the batter was still raw. I don’t know what went wrong. Very sad.

My boyfriend loves this place for the food. I love this place for the margaritas and dessert menu! Staff are all really nice! I do wish they had breakfast tacos all day though!

Good and great service. I went with my wife and we didn’t think the decoration was worth a date, nevertheless the food was pretty good except for the ceviche that was tasteless and had to send back. I recommend the frozen margarita(regular) and the sopa de tortilla.

Giving this place a second try. First visit was extremely slow service. This visit is for lunch and thought they could keep up on the lunch specials but not the case. Drink refills are a challenge for them also. When it comes to food, it rocks. Salsa and chips are great too. Just don’t be in a hurry and enjoy the food.

We tried the fajitas and enjoyed them. I’m picky with TexMed food since I’m from San Antonio. I liked that the salsa was spicy and the tortillas were homemade. That is something most Austin TexMex restaurants don’t have. The restaurant isn’t fancy and prices are cheap.

I decided to eat here yesterday due to its proximity to my job… that was a mistake. My waiter was very kind, attentive, and provided good service. However, the food was absolutely horrendous. I ordered a chicken quesadilla because I had never been here before. and it was disgusting. The chicken was discolored from what looked like boiling chicken in chicken broth for a long time and it appeared as though someone just tore pieces of chicken off with their fingers and put it in a quesadilla. The salsa was delightful but most of my chips were crushed. The presentation of the food was atrocious and at that point my appetite was ruined. But I ordered a Carne Asada to go plate for my husband which was dull and colorless. I’ve never seen Mexican rice with that hue before… suspect to say the least. There were two green onion stalks on top of the meat and a store bought salad mix in the container that held my husbands Carne Asada. I felt terrible after eating here and shelling out my money($ 27.57). Just know that if you eat here it will neither be money or time well spent!

Great little spot! Pastor tacos with homemade tortillas are fantastic. Salsa is really tasty. I tried their beef enchiladas for the first time today — really good! Lunch specials include iced tea and are very reasonably priced. Service was great. Looks like they have great happy hour specials too. We’ll be back!

A couple girlfriends, my toddler and I all stopped in here on a whim. None of us had either been or even heard of the place. We were seated outside. We drank delicious(strong) margaritas that were decently priced and ate some food. I don’t remember the food being outstanding or anything, but I certainly liked the drinks and how kid-friendly they were.

If you can’t make Mexican food palatable for people who are have just been partying on lake Travis for the last 5 hours and just ate stale cheetos like it was the best thing ever then lord help you. There is no hope! None. Nunca!

Went for breakfast with a group of 6. Only one other patron was in this nice size establishment. No one was there to greet us, so we sat ourselves. Server was quiet and indifferent. Took our orders, but when the food came, it was wrong. My husband had to tell her several times what he actually ordered, then she still questioned him again 2 more times. When the new order finally arrived, it was wrong again! The food was definitely not authentic tex mex either. Some of the prices were decent, but others were too pricey for what you got. With poor service and just ok food, I would recommend to go elsewhere. The most interesting part of this experience was the cool car!
