Treat yourself to a once Best Colorist by Austin Monthly Mag. Gina is a Hair Artist. Sometimes I have an idea for highlights and she’ll know just what I’m describing. Sometimes I’m not sure and she’ll mix up something that makes me love my hair again. A welcoming salon, a nice place to get away.

I recently relocated to Austin and reluctantly said goodbye to my stylist. A friend recommended Luca Salon and I made an appointment with Julia B., and I’ve had several more appointments with her the past few months. I’ve never been happier with my hair. The appointments aren’t rushed, the salon is clean and comfortable and has great lighting, and the conversation is always good. Yes, it’s a little pricey, but you get what you pay for when it comes to salons. Worth every penny.

I am very disappointed. I called the salon 3 times and my husband called once. No one ever called me back. I left a Facebook message and the owner called and left me a message. He said he was very sorry and would have a stylist call me back. 3 days later and no call back. Very disappointed

I have been going to SolAna Renteria for a few years and have even referred friends who also love her magic scissors. Her color is always spot on and cuts are perfect. With baby fine hair, you can see the smallest mistakes.
Most importantly, she listens to what you want and is always on the money. Have not been unhappy with any visit. I have no idea about any of the other stylists at this business; I’m just grateful to have found someone with so much talent that has such a passion for hair… even when I detest it.

Every experience I’ve had at Luca has been wonderful. Gina always does an amazing job with everything– color, cut and style. And on those rare occasions when I do want to change something, she always has perfect recommendations, even when I’m not technically well-​versed in describing what I want changed. Kelly is also amazing!
The location is also great– convenient and much more low key and laid back than some of the other salons of this caliber. And the entire staff is fun but professional, and always such a pleasure to work with. I truly love this place, and highly recommend it to anyone.

I don’t know what was up with Claudia’s review, but I’ve had nothing but great experiences at Luca Salon. They serve you wine or coffee while you’re waiting for your hairdresser and are very sensitive to your needs
Kate is the one who cuts my hair, and she is fantastic. Besides being a very sweet person, she is a great hairdresser who never hesitates to make sure the haircut is going the way you want it to.
The staff are friendly laid back and have made me appreciate what it means to get quality hair care from real people that are both experienced and easy to be around. Siskel and Trevort give Luca Salon two thumbs up!

I had the pleasure of getting a long-​layer cut by Drew, the proprietor of Luca Salon.
Luca is a smaller, but very chic, full-​service salon, on the second floor of a building featuring Elsi’s Restaurant (Salvadorian food restaurant,) and El Paso Import Co (eclectic furniture & home décor.) Luca couldn’t be in a better spot; it’s easy access and easy parking on popular north Burnet Road.
As for my haircut itself, I was extremely impressed with Drew. He is a true professional and was a wealth of information and good conversation.
He was able to spot and point out some flaws from my previous haircut! He also gave me tips on how to dry my hair «curly» or «straight,» and encouraged me to come back for more advice or if I needed help «getting it right.»
And the line of products he carries is amazing. I have thick, dark hair and most products simply weigh down my hair. Drew said the products he carries are: «Made in Spain especially for people with your kind of hair!»
