This ice cream is AMAZING! We bought 5 pints to share with some friends and keep at our house: sweet corn, banana nutella, almond toffee crunch, carmelized carrot and cream cheese, and honey roasted peanut butter. My favorite was the almond toffee crunch because there were big toffee pieces in it. I like it better than Amy’s because it is richer and creamier. The flavor combinations go well together and I’m gonna keep on the lookout for the truck to get some more. Yum!

I was on my way to the Architects of Air exhibit with my friend today and we were trying to make up our minds about where to cross the street when I very faintly heard someone saying something that sounded like, «Would you care for a free sample?» I looked around and there was a guy sitting in a teal food truck. Never ones to pass up free samples, we went over to see what he had to offer. Turns out this lil truck was selling gourmet, locally sourced, organic ice cream! We tried a couple of their flavors, including Bourbon Banana Crunch, Roasted Pistachio, and Riesling plumped cherry + goat cheese. The best one by far was the Riesling cherry one, which had cherries soaked in Riesling wine mixed with a vanilla ice cream made out of goat’s milk. So fancy! Other flavors on the board included Marscapone Chocolate and Crafted Wild Vanilla Bean. A Double is $ 4, and it’s 2 large scoops of ice cream in a cup. You can also get it in a waffle cone. If you want a larger serving, it’s $ 6. But the $ 4 size was more than enough for me, the ice cream is very rich. You’ll want to split it with someone for sure! I got to talk to the owner and it was his fourth day open! He said that he had been a chef for about 11 years and he seemed pretty excited about his business. I definitely enjoyed his ice creams, and I think Amy’s had better watch out. There’s a new ice cream truck in town.
