Been training here for over three years and it’s been a great learning and training environment for me, as well as a facilitator of some great friendships. I highly recommend this jujitsu academy.

I started out with no grappling training. I got tossed around like a rag doll for a month, but the very high level of detail taught here really helped me to excel. I have been really impressed with the detail and the attitude here. There’s serious training without any machismo.
Also, the skill level here is really high (probably from learning good technique). There is a good range of belts and skills. You can always find your match here.

Training here has truly improved me in terms of BJJ and as a person. I’ve had the pleasure to work with multiple black belts here who each have great instructions. In addition, there are a lots of great training partners who motivates me and constantly pushes me to improve. I have trained at several other gyms in Austin but Mario has truly made me feel like I have found a home. Definitely would recommend to people of all skill levels, come train, you will not regret it!

Who wouldn’t want to train with a three time world champion? Going anywhere else is, in my opinion, not getting an instructor with adequate experience. His mats are always clean, and I felt extremely welcomed by all the students and Mario my first day there! Top notch BJJ, MMA and Judo instruction here, without a doubt, and I tried a lot of Bjj places before picking this one, highly recommended! Best BJJ in North Austin without a doubt!
