What a great place! My 10 year old son and I love hanging out and the ladies are delightful.

I like this place. It’s very easy to sell bullion coins here, and they pay market value per ounce, which is reasonable and much better than the other place I just reviewed.
It’s a bit bare-​bones, but there are some cool coin-​related posters on the wall to look at, as well as all the pretty shiny things you can see in the cases if you need something to occupy yourself while you wait. They also have a good range of more collectible coins for sale, and the prices looked pretty reasonable. Same thing for the jewelry– decent variety, prices were good.
Plus, the ladies that work there are lovely once they have a minute to warm up to you and are very efficient and well-​versed in what they are doing.

A great family owned business. These ladies have been very good to Austin and myself for many years. The best place to buy gold and silver in Austin! Preserve your dollar’s value — buy silver and gold!

I dealt with Randall and one of the women in the coin shop. They’re knowledgeable and very friendly. None of that curmudgeon vibe you sometimes get at other coin shops. I was there to sell so I can’t speak to the size and quality of their inventory but their offers when selling your coins were reasonable.

Good honest pricing and the ladies know their stuff.

If you think there everyday customer service is bad try shopping there for a hot item
and it’s deplorable. Just a bunch of low life order taking old coot salesmen obviously
on an hourly wage. I’ll drive to Cabela’s where the professionals work. Notice whenever there’s a bad review they salt it soon after with a good review

Visited this shop today, pleased to learn it all started as a family passion. The ladies in the coin shop were very knowledgable and hospitable. I was surprised to learn that they also buy precious metals. I got what I felt was a very reasonalbe price for my coins and gold, and was very pleased with my time there.

New to Austin and have been checking out the various gun shops in and around town. The guys over @ Heritage Firearms and The Gun Store in Cedar Park were very knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant… no pressure to buy, good prices as well. Having said that, I’d like to give McBride’s a 5 star rating. Their selection is huge and their prices are better than I expected from a shop this size. I made it clear that I was just «shopping» and the staff could not have been more helpful. The gentleman who walked me around and showed me a nice selection of sub compact’s (for me) and 22 rifles (for my son,) took his time to explain the specifics of each firearm, was thoroughly knowledgeable about each firearm and very friendly. I did end up buying a few boxes of ammo… reasonably priced… and even the two women at the check out counter knew their stuff (not to sound sexist,) and were as pleasant as could be. Now, I must admit, I did move here from Los Angeles and while my driver’s license gave that away, everyone at McBrides was still nice to me. I’ll be back soon.
