My experience at this store included, in lack of a better word, lots of cringing inside; I felt I was starred at, my questions regarding the prices were answered in short and in a somewhat snobbish manner. Maybe it was my middle eastern look and accent… Or maybe it was the fact that I asked if any item was on sale… Maybe I didn’t fit to their demographic, maybe the gentleman running the store was having a bad day, who knows!
In the end, I decided this isn’t where I want to shop at, after all nobody wants to be both offended and pay for it! ;)

I live in San Antonio but an always looking for a reason to get to Austin. So, when I got an order for Kappa Alpha Theta cookies, I knew I would be travelling north for the cutters.
Melissa’s is a cute, small boutique catering to all things Greek. They have iPad covers, bags, jewelry, art and so much more. Each sorority has it’s own area, making it easy to find what you are looking for. PLUS, they have some UT items… I picked up dinner awesome UT Orange fingernail polish that I have been scouring half of Texas for!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. As an added extra, ATX Bookstore is located in the back if the boutique so you can buy our sell your textbooks while getting your Geek on.
If you out sometime you love is if a sorority or Frat, be sure to stop by Melissa’s!
