I’d probably like this course a lot more if it weren’t for the following things: 1. Hungry flying insects — I don’t know what they are, most likely mosquitoes… but they come in SWARMS over here! I forgot my insect repellent and got MURDERED! I think the main reason is because of all the standing water here which is the ideal breeding ground for mosquitoes. 2. Brutal holes — my buddy lost his brand new disc on hole 3 our first time playing there. We never expected that water hazard right behind the basket, so all it took was one overpowered throw and it was gone!(There is a big lake behind hole 3 that sits really high up on a hill so you can’t see it until you get to the hole). I think it was hole 16 that seemed like an easy shot, around a 180ft drive with an immediate water hazard to the left, so when I threw my champ ROC3 straight, it faded before it hit the ground, bounced, and went straight into the disgusting standing water full of mosquitoes! 3. My skill level — obviously not up to par… maybe in the future I will return to this course when I am a lot better. I’m sure it’s a nice course for those of you who can park it on the basket off the tee every time, but for me I’ll stay with the easier course until I can handle it.

Great course and it challenges you at whatever level of play you have. The MET Center is a good course that was once a GREAT course, but drought and severe Central Texas weather killed many of the trees that made it awesome, but the course is still good and still challenging. The course is a good design and has good play flow for all levels of competition. Water in the area can take your easy upshot into a penalty stroke and ruin your score, but it will bring you back for more and more. The course is essentially a «privately managed property» so if you have events or organized activities there. YOUMUSTGETPERMISSION. For general play and recreation, you can assume the risk on your own and have a great time. *please remember* Respect the property as they allow disc golfers to come and play freely. also respect the parking rules and guidelines as well since there are active businesses in the adjacent buildings. Overall, come out to throw your long shots, your technical shots, and your cursing shots because you will be challenged. Make it for a proper event or a lunchtime round… the course is big and long and always fills you with the joy to play disc golf.
