This is the only store where my better half and I can shop in harmony. The store sells hip, urban casual wear at a reasonable price. They have designer jeans like Rock and Republic, True Religion, and Mex Denim. Much of the stuff has a retro feel. I often see clothes that I wore in the 80’s(wow, I’m feeling really old now and makes me wonder why I’m shopping here ;-(. Back to my point, my favorite thing about this store is the amazing customer service. Everyone talks to you, is very helpful, and no high pressure sales tactics here. I especially love«Mo». He is attentive and is true to his word. About 3 weeks ago, I bought a dress and the zipper was broken, so «Mo» offered to get it fixed for me. Yada yada yada… to make a long story short, there was a mix-up and I bought another of the same dress and forgot about the broken zipper dress. I went into the store last weekend and Mo remembered me and the dress and allowed to exchange it for something else. Now if that is not customer service, I don’t know what is. Hallelujah, stores finally care about their customers.

How can you walk past this store and not be interested. So you think you are a rockstar on the weekends or you just like to jazz your look once in a while? I know I do. I like Shepard Fairey’s designs and was a skater in a past life after all. In addition to his stuff, which Metropark is very heavy into, they carry some other brands that I have never heard of, but still look good and edgy. Cost is relative. The pieces I chose were pricey, but a couple of them were basics so altogether it was a wash. Don’t expect too many bargains here. Metropark carries pure unadulterated swagger for the male set, and a great selection of trendy women’s clothes for anyone wanting to go out and look«in the now». This wasn’t my first visit to this store and I doubt it will be my last. I like it.

After a hopeful visit to Diesel to find THE shirt for my 20th high school reunion, I went down to Metropark, even though an acquaintance said that the clothes there were a «little young for me.»(OMG!) I found a helpful sales associate who listened to what my needs were: the coolest shirt on the block that would cause people to call me «fierce» and«svelte.» I found this amazing AMAZING shirt($ 90): white button down with black design stitching on the upper chest and back. AND, it has these awesome circonia rhinestones embroidered within the design. I still bought the other shirt at diesel($ 150.) but the MP is the one I wore to the reunion, and I received my fair share of compliments. Sometimes you just have to pay retail, and I tend not to do that. However, Metropark set me UP! I have since worn the shirt to a holiday party, and it was quite the conversation piece. Yay Metropark!
