Dr. Michael Moghimi –Life Changer!!! MY LIFE CHANGER!!! After meeting with 2 different back and spine «specialists», and getting different diagnosis from them both, diagnosed with spondylolysis spondylolisthesis, I was on the verge of setting up surgery with one of them UNTIL an unfortunate incident put me in the pathway of Dr. Moghimi. After the first 5 minutes with meeting with Dr. Moghimi, my husband and I both knew right away that if anything was going to be done to my back, he would be the one. He took the time to review my X-ray’s and MRI, answer all our questions and concerns, which had not been done with the prior two «specialist». He went into details of the surgical procedure to where we would understand and explained the Minimal Invasive procedure he would be using and I knew then, this was for me. His knowledge and experience made me feel at ease with my decision to move forward with Dr. Moghimi performing my surgery. His staff made the whole process easy with all the pre-​op paperwork and dealing with my insurance company. Dr. Moghimi’s was genuinely concerned about my back and my recovery. I would AND have HIGHLY recommend Dr. Moghimi to anyone who would like another opinion or other treatments options.

Dr. Michael Moghimi operated on my spine on December 18, 2015. I was diagnosed with cervical stenosis with myelopathy. During our initial consultation, Dr. Moghimi said that he usually tries to recommend non invasive methods at first but my critical condition made it necessary to have surgery as soon as possible. He was very professional in telling me what to expect during surgery and after. In a very kind way he explained that he could not guarantee that there was not already some damage done to my spinal cord thus complete recovery might not occur. He did explain though if I did not have surgery there was a very good chance that I would be paralyzed. It was obvious that his knowledge of the spine was great so I decided to place my life in his hands.
After coming home, I called his office with other concerns. His nurse talked to him about this and he called me back personally and it was decided to move the surgery up a couple of weeks.
During his daily follow up visits at the hospital and 2 weeks after the surgery, Dr Moghimi was very compassionate and spent all the time I needed answering questions and concerns that I had. I am now well on my way to a healthy lifestyle.
I most definitely recommend Dr Michael Moghimi as a very professional and excellent Neurosurgeon.

Dr. Moghimi is the most easy to talk to doctor I have ever seen. He explained my condition to me in detail and in a way I can understand. He personaly went over my x-​rays and MRI with me, and described my problem and the surgery that would need to be done. He never pushed anything on me and gave me reading material and even suggested others doctors for a second opinion. He treated me like family and I really appreciate everything. I knew what to expect before and after surgery, and my pain that was really ruining my life is now gone. Thank you Dr. Moghimi! I went to see Dr. Moghimi for what turned out to be a herniated disk. He wanted try injections and therapy before jumping into surgery, which I completely agree. He explained what his thoughts were and I was confident in his plan. He was my second opinion and I feel very comfortable with the options. If you are looking for an expert in the field who is willing to walk you through all options, Dr. Moghimi is the one you want. Dr. Moghimi is a fantastic spine surgeon centrally located in Austin. One of only a handful of doctors in the area trained in minimally invasive techniques. I would definitely recommend going to see him if you want a conservative opinion on treatment options.
