This was the best experience I had had anywhere that I looked. Charles is extremely knowledgeable, willing to work with you, has a huge selection of stones and highly competitive pricing. Buying a diamond was a big investment for me and working with Midas, I was extremely comfortable with it.

If you are looking for that perfect engagement ring in the Austin area, I HIGHLY recommend you to check out Midas Manufacturing. A goof friend of mine recommended me there and overall it was an amazing experience. Before this, I checked out about 10 – 15 jewelry stores and I was not satisfied with any ring I saw for the right price .
My brother in law and I were immediately greeted by Charles, who was very helpful and was great about informing us about his knowledge with diamonds. He brought us in his office and spent about 2 hours telling us about his business and picked my mind on the ring I wanted and the range I wanted to spend. After that, we also quickly came to trust with Midas and I knew right away this is where I’ll be purchasing my ring. I told Charles exactly what I wanted and the next time we met, he bought the exact diamond I’ve been searching for.
They offer high quality jewelry without intimidating us. This place is absolutely worth checking out, I definitely will go back for my wedding band and will recommend it to all my friends in the future. My brother in law said was very pleased about the information and we were both please by Charles knowledge.

I had the gift of getting to choose my engagement ring, which was very exciting but also a little overwhelming. A friend recommended we call Midas, and while we had another jeweler recommended to us as well, we quickly came to trust Midas and knew we would work with them after a visit to the shop to meet the team there.
Speaking of gems… this shop is a diamond in the rough. I found their non-​pretentious storefront spoke volumes about their business — they are all about the jewelry and not into the stuffy overpriced retail scene. They described their prices as «somewhere between wholesale and retail», and judging by the prices I saw in their jewelry case, I found that to be accurate.
They have some unique jewelry there in the shop but can also customize from an idea, a sketch, a picture from a magazine… In fact my idea was a little bit of all of that.
Step by step they helped us get our idea translated into a 3D image, then a wax casting of the design and then a beautiful piece that I get to wear for the rest of my life. Not only that, they made a special effort to finish the ring before Christmas, which was a wonderful treat for me.
Charles has been in the jewelry business for several decades and we admired his knowledge and his candor about styles, metals, stones, everything. We also worked closely with Margot on the design — she made suggestions that made my ideas even better. I’ve also talked with Rima, though not worked as closely with her yet, and plan to revisit to follow up for re-​sizing and some questions about maintenance. I suggested that I’d call first, and Rima insisted I should just stop in anytime.
I would absolutely recommend Midas for anything you are looking for — whether you want to shop their jewelry case, order a setting from one of the catalogs they have or start from scratch with a paper and pencil.
