Get your kid involved in the apprentice training program. My friend’s son did it this summer and loved seeing camp from the other side.

My daughter attended a camp at MoolahU in June and it really inspired her to open up a savings account and start thinking about her future. They talked about how important it was to save at least 10% from all the earnings, about how we all work only to pay the bills and what are the ways to get ahead of the game and be more independent. In that week the kids came up with a business idea, did some market research, came up with a business plan, requested a loan for supplies, implemented their idea, were able to pay back the loan in the first day of selling, and earned their very first paychecks. My daughter LOVED all the instructors. There were different ages of kids and they were all super sweet. Each day they would take turns being CEO, CFO, marketing director, etc, and they worked really well together. They all exchanged their contact information and will keep in touch and continue working on their business. So yesterday my daughter opened her first savings account, deposited the earned check, and decided to put away 50% of her earned chores money into that account for college. She will be better with money than both of her parents, thanks to MoolahU.

At the camp she setup her first savings account and put the money they had earned in the account. It’s still there! Since that camp she has joined apprentice program. The program is designed to have kids be a part of facilitating the camps. One thing I noticed right off after her second week of apprenticing, was that, she started to wake up and make her lunches for school! I was completely surprised! She also started to get school projects done in a timely manner, rather than waiting till the last minute. She is 13 now and this year will be her second year as an apprentice. She now has her own checking account and saves for things she wants and bus them with her own money.

Moolah U provides a space for kids to learn about money in a fun way. A way that really makes a difference, and it teaches them things about money that most of us never learn before we are adults, if we ever learn it all.
A highly recommend the camp, and being an apprentice is a must!

This is a great camp to help teach kids how business/​our economy works while having fun. My son has attended the passed 2 years and asked to do it again. This is one of his favorite camps. If your kids like the idea of selling things or running a business (even a lemonade stand) this camp is a must. They have several locations all around Austin.

Last year, I lead a club for Moolah U and had an absolute blast! I started the 8 week program excited to contribute to children, but as I led each class, my personal relationship with money completely transformed!
The biggest impact it had on me was learning to save and invest. I used to operate from a place of scarcity when it came it money, i.e. there was never enough. Over time, I was able to save more and began to feel more secure.
Now, I relate to money like it is ever-​abundant. I have a significant amount invested in Bitcoin and various diversified markets, and am constantly making money, I now don’t even worry about it. More than that, money seems to come to me a lot more easily. I can’t explain it, but I love it.

When I was younger I attended the Money Clubs and multiple summer camps. Throughout the years I have become a leadership team member at Moolah U.
This has made an extraordinary impact on my life and my relationship with money. Not only have I learn the many operations of running a business, but also how to be financially free. I am currently an honors student at the University of Houston and thanks to my education at Moolah U I am able to pay for my education through profits from my own business.
Since I learned the value of saving money to invest at a young age I have been able to accumulate a large sum of money by putting away 10% of all the money I earn.
Although this program is intended to support young people in learning about financial literacy, it has taught me most about how to be a responsible person who has integrity for their commitments. The programs at Moolah U should be called self improvement courses because the people that come out of them are changed not only in their capacity to handle money but also in their capacity to be accountable for their own lives.
I am so grateful for the experience that was made possible because of Moolah U and highly suggest all of their programs!

My son’s first year with MoolahU (formerly The Money Academy) was when it was in its second year. I was so impressed on how this program, that Gayle (founder) created, made creating a business be so much fun and interesting to children. This summer camp made such an impression on my son that he continued with the company for 5 years. He as a camper to coaching the adult leaders. Jonathan has learned so much on leadership, making decisions, cooperation, and how to manage his money. I have learned a few things from him on money management! I love the positive influence this camp has on children and the great life lessons they pass along. I can’t enough good things about MoolahU!!! This camp is a «MUST DO»! You and your children won’t regret it.

An entrepreneur camp for kids… love the concept! I’m not one for recreation only summer camps. Yeah, I know… mean mommy. Ever heard of «it’s not work if you’re having fun?» Kids are great at coming up with ideas, and creating things. They also like having their own money, just like us! The Money Academy was the perfect camp to further my daughter’s lemonade stand adventure and encourage her entrepreneurial excitement. The staff are wonderful and provided guidance, allowing the kids to come to their own decisions instead of telling them what to do or giving them answers. Plus, Gayle (their founder) always returned my calls promptly. That’s good business!
