First off, and most importantly, Dr. Mulcihy should not be in pediatrics, as he clearly doesn’t like children. In fact, he doesn’t seem to like adults much, either. I used to take my kids to him, and every time, he’d act as if they were annoying him — heavy sighs as my rambunctious child wouldn’t stay still, that sort of thing. After weighing one of them, he grumbled at me, «She’s __pounds overweight.» And he will talk to you like you’re totally stupid. He’s rude and condescending. Secondly, the waiting room is dirty and the toys for the kids to play with are broken. There are signs everywhere warning you«no food, no drinks, no cell phones.» Thirdly, I have been on both sides of the fence, as far as having Medicaid vs. private insurance. I can tell you that patients covered by private insurance are whisked through the doors, while Medicaid patients wait… and wait… and wait. He’s all about profit, and not at all about caring for patients properly. Look elsewhere for a pediatrician… there are so many other great ones out there who will treat you and your child(ren) with respect.
