New Millennium Plus

I really wanted to like Millennium Lawn Care. They were recommended by my realtor. I met with Demetrio for a consultation. He was very nice and seemed to have some great ideas on how to fix up the yard on my new home. We agreed on a price saying that he would complete the most urgent tasks in 1 week and then finish up the rest in 3 weeks. They did repairs to my fence which were done literally the next day. On day 8 he texted me to say he would be there the next day. He did not show. About 3 days later they finally came unexpected. Since I wasn’t expecting him, and as he had no-​showed on me already, I didn’t have the check waiting for him at the door. He called/​emailed/​texted me about a dozen times in the space of 2 hours wanting to be paid. I was at work and there wasn’t much I could do with no notice. It was very off putting and it wasn’t like I was delinquent — I got him the check later that same night. Part of the job was to cut back huge bushes that were in the back of the property. I could see that there were cut a bit because the ends of some of the branches were raw, but the volume of bushes did not change much. I emailed Demetrio and I stated that obviously we had a miscommunication and I would pay more to have the bushes cut back significantly more. He said no problem, he would have them cut when he came again to do the front yard. Now came the big waiting game. The rest of the work that was supposed to take 3 weeks, took almost 2 months to be started and was NEVER completed. They never touched again the bushes in the back. After many emails and promises they were coming, they finally came about 2 months later to do the front yard work. We had agreed to remove the bushes in the front and replace them with new, smaller, native plants. What I got, was them chopping off the bushes, leaving just the stumps, leaving a huge mess across my front yard (including dragging half of the pebbles in a rock bed across the driveway and into the street), and never coming back. I emailed Demetrio several more times and he said he was going to come and fix it. Several more weeks go by. At some point someone came and mowed the front yard (which I never asked for??) but the area where the bushes were removed was never fixed nor did I get the new plants we had talked about. In the end, I emailed Demetrio and I said I just wanted him to know that I am unhappy and I have no faith he was ever going to come and finish the front yard. He said he was sorry and that it was a good learning experience as he had over extended his commitments. I understand that, but I also understand I spent $ 1500 to have a yard that looks worse than before he was there. Even the backyard, which looked nice initially, has not held up for more than four months. I remember thinking that was such a good price, but I guess you get what you pay for. He also asked that I pay after he did the back yard (which was a bigger project) which was also a mistake on my part. I now know, that full payment comes when the full job is done.

Very satisfactory experience with Demetrio and their lawn services. I chose the Silver Plan which suited my yard and they took care of everything else. Billing was seamless and reasonable, saved me lots of work and comforts me that it is well automated — don’t even have to think about it! They only bill for the times they actually arrive, and when your lawn doesn’t need trimming (ex. no growth during certain seasons) they leave your yard alone and don’t try to charge you for unnecessary visits.
