Living right next door, I’m probably a touch biased, but my wife, son, and I love this park/woodland. The playscape has recently been re-done and the trails(perhaps half a mile total) are well-looked after by the Parks Dept(and local neighborhood association?). The park is pretty well-used and well-loved — by families, dog walkers, joggers, etc — but it never feels too busy or crowed. All in all a nice place to relax and unwind in the north Austin ‘burbs — especially if you have kids.

This is a nice little park in the NW Austin area. It is honestly a pretty small park but packs a big punch. I will say that it could use some modernization. A lot of the amenities such as the benches and things are a little old but still usable. It has a gazebo, playground, swings and tennis courts. You might even see a few deer if you are lucky. The park also has a few trails that I will definitely be going back to use more often. They would be awesome for a walk or a run. During our walk I think I saw 10 different dog breeds in the park. I thought I was in the movie Best in Show. The park has a pretty good amount of trees so a large part of the trails might be in the shade during the day. There are even little signs to point out species of trees and plants if you fancy yourself a botanist.
