THE SHORT OF IT:
I met with probably 4 or 5 different trainers before picking David.
He has a great mix of creativity, intelligence, wisdom and, of course fitness. I mirror what Bill and Jennifer’s reviews said absolutely. What I really liked is that he kept it interesting, but not so complicated that I didn’t know what to do. And he kept it difficult so that I felt like I actually worked out — but not so sore I’d begin dreading seeing his face. ;)
THE LONG OF IT:
Before David, I got through fitness classes without much of a sweat. I wasn’t competitive enough to push myself to be first and was content to go just fast enough to stay safely in the non-​descript middle.
So, what happened when David showed up into my life?
Uhm… I kinda got a little competitive.
Not because he screamed and yelled, but because he has some kind of Mary Poppins magic that makes you go faster better longer. And then. all of a sudden… you’re wondering to yourself, «What makes those Olympic athletes so special? I mean if they can do it and I just shaved a silly amount of time off my pace, why can’t I be in the next Olympics?» Seriously, these are the fun things that popped into my head.
What David IS:
He is creative. He remembers what you did last and what you will need to do next. He seems to care SO MUCH about helping YOU and getting YOU to do your best that you just might feel guilty imagining all the time he puts into being prepared for your workouts. It is very clear that David cares enough to do his prep work and each session is 5 stars and then some.
If you workout with David, it will be fun, it will be interesting, it will be challenging. This man has drill sergeant skills mixed with great social skills and a sense of humor that makes everything go by far too quickly.
What David is NOT:
(Comparing David to other ‘trainers’ I’ve tried to use)
Other trainers have just «phoned it in» an seemed to be thinking about other things, or just randomly suggesting stuff. Other trainers chat more than push. (I did warn David he needs to ignore my ability to get people to chat instead of work out hard — he delivered.) Other trainers will give you the workout they use for themselves. (Male trainers having me focus inordinately on chest presses and hip-​less female trainers ignoring hip and thigh area because that wasn’t their personal area to work on.)
A good trainer will evaluate YOUR strengths and weaknesses and then push you to do better, better, better and not be limited by their own personal preferences and body experiences.
David does everything right. If you’re lucky enough to train with him I can only imagine you will be one happy camper.

Signed up on a Groupon. Thought I would give it a try. Just what I ordered. As a 56 year old I keep up pretty well with the young whipper snappers. It is an intense series of workouts. No two workouts the same so my muscles stay confused and that matches my brain as it is confused most of the time.
I need the discipline of working out and someone to get more out of me. After a month I am looking leaner and feeling fit. The bad news is I need some clothes that fit at the waist. Better than going the other way for sure. Give it a try. It’s not easy, especially to start but if you give it a month I guarantee you will be back

Until a month ago I had been going to the gym for about 5 years. Always worked out by myself, weights, cardio everything the gym offered, but I was bored. I was told about Outrightfitness through Facebook, a couple ladies I meet was doing it and I needed more of a challenge.
I signed up for the p-​ville location with Terrance, I have never worked out so hard, total body workout! NEVER BORING! every time I think I got him, am ready… NOPE! he pulls these workouts out of nowhere. when people hear «bootcamp» they automatically think yelling and screaming. My cutie pie trainer hardly blows his whistle and never NEVER talks loud.
He gently pushes you over the edge and you want to jump. haha! ABSOLUTELY amazing! I can’t stop! and LADIES it’s not just for weight loss, you can tone up as well. we need more of those groups around.
He treats every person like they are there him alone, he attends to everyone.

I’ve been going to Out Right Fitness for almost 2 months. David is the best… where do I start? When I started looking for fitness groups I didn’t want that military style fitness, (I hate it when the trainer is sitting there with a whistle, yelling and blowing his whistle as if we are a herd of cattle) I needed someone who would be stern but understood that everyone was not at the same fitness level. David made me very comfortable and pushed me to my limits without me feeling as if I were a failure when I was last to finish the running course or the reps. Which in the end only made me push harder. Everyday is a different routine which makes it interesting. We go from hurdles to hills, to cones to weight balls to boxing… It’s always a new and exciting adventure.
When I started I was also concerned about my eating habits. After giving David a brief overview of the foods I like/​dislike he sent me a meal plan which was easy to follow. He also sells Protein shakes that are good. (No really they are good)
There are many different locations and times, which made it easier to work into my hectic schedule. I would recommend Out Right Fitness to everyone… It’s a great group to be part of.

David is absolutely amazing! Not only do I feel like I am getting personal training for only $ 8 a class, I really enjoy doing it. I told him I hate running and, instead of chastising me as being the best way to lose fat (like some other trainers), he said «OK, we’ll find some options». Don’t get me wrong, we still run, but he breaks it up so I’m not running all day long.
David truly is dedicated to helping his clients, not making a ton of money. In fact, his Saturday class is free! You can tell he cares because he remembers everyone’s names, send us supportive text messages, and varies the workouts for every level of fitness. He is now offering meal plan assistance.
If you are someone who needs a gentle push, David is your guy!
