I have played P. Ellis drums for a couple of years now, and I couldn’t be more happy with them. These drums exhibit the highest quality in custom drum manufacturing, and they sound, play, record, and travel amazingly well. What I appreciate most about this company is their dedication to putting out the best product that they can, providing a personal touch that you can’t find with other ‘big name’ companies. These drums are built by professional gigging musicians that are dedicated to making great art. These guys aren’t just about selling drums; they want to see artists equipped with the best tools they can have to create beautiful art. I also appreciate their servant attitude, not only with their clientele, but with the arts community as a whole. Their stout artist roster alone is enough for me to put my complete trust in their product. I can’t say enough good things about this company. I am fully satisfied with my drums, and I look forward to a long-lasting relationship with these guys.

I love our P. Ellis drum kit. We purchased the kit from a clearance list because we were happy with the specs and the deal. It is regularly used in our studio. The kit looks and sounds wonderful. Since it’s our main studio kit and we were so happy with it, we just recently ordered a second custom set for live settings, to leave the first for dedicated studio purposes. The finish is beautiful and the sound is huge. Multiple drummers of multiple preferences play this kit around here and they are very pleased with it. Honest work with honest business is worth your time and money. Brenton –Creative Arts Pastor @ Beltway Park –Vocalist/Guitarist/Songwriter @ Firetown

I had been excited and looking forward to trying out P. Ellis for about a year now, but unfortunately this company is yet another one of the extremely overpriced and extremely unoriginal«cookie cutter» drum kit companies popping up all over the US. After inspecting a few of their products at a local drum shop, I’ve concluded that these are of course ordered shells, most likely Keller, with the same material(plies) for reinforcement hoops and were very thin, and are made with little quality control. If anyone were to want a P. Ellis Drum kit I would strongly suggest taking 5 minutes of your time to look into building your own kit, through websites I will not mention so the authenticity of this review stays intact. Putting together a kit is extremely easy by the way, and save $ 1,000 right off the bat. I also looked at the snares for quite some time. One in particular was priced at over $ 500 and had an abalone inlay. The inlay was not flush at all and the inlay cut still had rough edges and wood glue on it. To be honest it looked like it was made in a 7th grade wood shop class, and is priced at over $ 500! The final and most relevant nail in the coffin was, of course, it sounded awful in a variety of tunings, which was not difficult to predict after a short inspection. I support local businesses and ventures, but I also write reviews and happen to be a drummer. Sorry P. Ellis. Maybe in a few years?
