Waited in line, got two panda bowls, only had enough fried rice for one bowl so had to wait for it to be made while the cashier made the other bowl. Different cashier at register rung our order up wrong & needed help, Hispanic manager ignored her & talking on the phone, so we just stood there waiting for the manager’s phone call to be over, meanwhile my food is just sitting there getting cold. They finally make fried rice for my husband’s order and give it to him in a to go bag, it was really crappy. the steamed veggies were not cooked all the way through, cold in the middle, and after making us wait that whole time you would think they would at least give us a free drink or eggroll or something. crappy service, usually have good experiences here unless its within an hour ½ of closing. won’t be coming here again.

This is my first ever bad review for a restaurant. I am food poisoned after eating at this place today. I suffered from severe diarrhea and vomiting within 15 mins of eating my dinner. Now I just hate panda express and I am never gonna go back.

Me: «I’d like some honey walnut shrimp, please.» Her: «Oh, we’re out of that, since we’re almost closing. We’re actually out of lots of things.» Me, looking at my watch at 8:45pm on a Saturday: «Oh, I didn’t know. The sign on the door said you closed at 10 tonight.» Her: «Yep! So like I said… Almost closing.» Me: … — — — — Epilogue Next customer: «Yeah, give me some of that honey walnut shrimp.» Aim high, Panda Express.

There wasn’t much out for a selection at 2pm. I was disappointed with that. I noticed a lot of the dishes were just veggies without the meat. I wound up having something I didn’t want because what I wanted wasn’t available. Also they only had one girl working the front and there was a large line. It was ok for a quick stop, but probably not again, atleast not this location.

I usually go to this drive-thru less PanEx just because of it’s proximity to my house and usually as a lunch quickie/post grocery shopping exhaustion nom. I have never had service issues here, usually the gals behind the counter are quick and courteous and I am in and out in literally under 5mins. I almost prefer that it doesn’t have a drive-thru because I have never had an incorrect order here, even when I use the app to pre-order my food for pickup. Though, on my most recent visit, I went right before closing and was not even greeted. I stood there waiting for them to take my order, but the staff were too busy joking around w/each other to acknowledge my existence. I also saw the scraggly remains of the chow mein and the heat-lamp stale orange chicken and decided to save myself from General Tso’s revenge to try my luck another day. I am hoping the sub-par service was a one-off and not a trend. So word to the wise… never go 20mins or less before close and expect fresh or even quasi-edible food.

Regarding the negative reviews below, you guys are crazy expecting five star service at a fast food place lol. Now to my review: I enjoy coming to this Panda Express because they prep their meals relatively quickly and if they need to make some extra food to complete the order they do it pretty quickly. However the reason I am giving 4 out of 5 is because the chicken Panda Express uses is just cheap, it’s like they get the left overs from somewhere with the fat and just dump them into their bowls. Please increase the quality of your chicken and I will eat here more often!

Congratulations! The award for the lamest response I have EVER received in my life goes to…[drum roll]…Panda Express at Parmer and Mopac! [Throw the confetti!!] Panda’s been pretty reliable in the past as far as offering a consistent quick meal option, for those moments when I don’t really want the whole authentic Chinese fanfare, but I also don’t want burgers and fries. For the most part, customer service has been pleasant, professional, and acceptable. Until tonight… Now, let me clarify, my props(above) go out to most other locations. In fact, when I moved from South Austin to North, I could feel the difference immediately. Of course, I’m not looking for warm hugs and a cheering section when I enter, but a simple smile works. And, not appearing as if I am inconveniencing you by asking about food temps.(Body language speaks volumes! And yes, I have been served COLD food that was SUPPOSED to be at 160, but was not. I don’t need a thermometer to tell me that.) To be fair, I will say that I was greeted tonight with a friendly smile. But then, when I asked about making a fresh batch of vegetables, I was told, «We need to get rid of these, first.» Short of telling her to, then, throw them away, I did express that they looked old. Without pause, she tells me, «They’ve looked older than that, before.» Seriously?!! First you’re telling me that you need to «get rid of» these old-looking vegetables by selling it to me. Then, you expect me to accept that it’s okay to pay for and consume old(and likely cold) food because YOU have a lack of standards? Get a grip! One thing Panda has been known for, in my experience, is that when I get there and the food has been on the line too long — they’ve ALWAYS made a fresh batch — with a smile and excellent customer service. And, I have been to many Panda’s across the country to be able to say that. But, don’t worry Parmer/Mopac location, you won’t have to make me a fresh batch ever again. I won’t be back.(And yes, I did walk out.) Lost customer. Boo!

By far the worst Panda Express I have ever been to. Too salty or too sweet for me to finish the plate. I will not come back here.

Yeah, I realize it’s one step up from fast food, but really? I have eaten there many times and it has been passable. This visit was terrible. The Kung pao was cold. The orange chicken, which is usually the best dish, was lumps of hard breading. There was nary a morsel of chicken in over half of the pieces. Just hard-as-a-rock, overly sweet nuggets of dough. The spring roll was edible. The Lomein reminded me of that twine they used tie FedEx packages with. Same color and texture as twine? Ugh. WTH? Not exactly cheap food, costs about $ 8.75, no drink. The one star is for cleanliness and the staff was super nice.
