Park Place

I have a first floor ¹⁄₁ unit and it’s nice. The location is excellent and the price is decent compared to similar apartments in the area. The one huge problem with this location though is that it floods. As I was moving in, my next door neighbor was moving out and warned me. Management told me the unit had been renovated, but my neighbor explained that it was gutted because it had flooded, the entire first floor of the building as well. To be fair, the complex is on a slope of a hill, but the drainage system doesn’t do the job well enough. Since I moved in they have improved drainage around the building, but this last storm where a lot of Austin flooded, my apartment flooded as well. Thankfully, my unit drained fine and I just needed to mop a lot but I look forward to moving south into a 3^rd floor unit. I don’t have the time anymore to enjoy the neighborhood. If you do decide this to move here, get a second floor unit. The neighborhood is worth the price.
