My first visit to Pong Club was a month ago or so for the coaching preview with resident coach, Rocky. Rocky has years of knowledge and training in Table Tennis and it was a great experience to get first hand professional advice regarding the fundamentals of the game. I regularly attend league night on Thursdays and have met a lot of great people from beginner to advanced. Everyone is willing to help and really eager to teach and spread the the good table tennis vibes. Great place to show up by yourself. Someone will play ping pong with you!

Conveniently located, great tables, plenty of room and fun atmosphere. Have a drink or a beer from the taco bar and hit a few balls with your friends. You can be a novice or a seasoned pro but the theme is come out and have fun playing table tennis. I had a great time playing there and it’s great that I can be there in 15 minutes. Roderick is a easy going person and is always helpful with advice and information.

The north part of our city has long had all the fun when it comes to a place to gather for ping pong. But finally, us south Austin folks get to play, too! South Austin’s Pong Club meets 3 times per week at Soccer Zone on Manchaca near Slaughter. 6 tables, plenty of extra paddles and balls, and lots of lively action! All skill levels will enjoy playing, from beginners to experts. Wed evenings and Sat afternoons are open for fun play, and Thur evenings spin up competitive league play. I’ve really enjoyed playing at Pong Club South. Not only is it fun, but it’s been great exercise, too — always great to have an excuse for more exercise. Roderick has been super helpful in providing tips for how to improve my play, and does a great job of making the experience welcoming for all who come. I look forward to countless more hours of fun at Pong Club!

I second Kyle S. and Sue Z. reviews: the Pong Club is a welcoming place for any level, any age to play, have fun and improve your game. I’m a beginner and Roderick offered me complementary coaching with some great tips in a very low key way on how to play the sport. It’s located on Manchaca Rd. just north of the HEB at Slaughter La. Look for it behind the Auto Zone and the Car Wash in the after school Soccer place. And now we are beyond lucky to have the great new Coach Rocky! Be sure to sign up for some very comprehensive lessons. He started from scratch in the introductory class and gave me so much great new information. Just be aware that the Soccer Zone is a pretty wild and chaotic scene, but once you enter the Pong Club corner(head to the left past the concession stand), that all falls away and oddly you become unaware of whatever is going on in the rest of the building and it’s just a blast to be there.

I like ping pong. I am by no means some champion star like Forest Gump. You see a table and you want to play. That is what is great about this Pong club place. You go and play, that’s it. You play with beginner levels all the way to advanced with no pressure to be championship level, most even offer tutorials. So on my first day, I played some ping pong master but he was soooooooo cool. He taught me rules and how to play properly and he was so sweet. I won our round, or he let me win lol. I enjoyed playing but I enjoyed watching these people hit a ping pong ball so hard it was like sound broke inside the gym more lol. Ping pong fury!!! It was so awesome. I encourage all ages to check this place out. So cool to have this place in south Austin.
