Wow, just wow! I think I have found the best popcorn that I have ever tasted in my whole life. Walked in just to browse, walked out, looked over and saw Parmesan and White Cheddar popcorn on the way out, did a double take and walked back in. Helpful counter ladies, you could tell it was almost a written in the mind«spiel» as she was rattling off the flavors of the popcorn. Duh, I can see the labels of the pop corn on the window case but she was informing me so nicely I kept to myself. Parmesan or White Cheddar? Parmesan or White Cheddar? Parmesan or White Cheddar, I could not make up my mind but when I finally did Parmesan was the choice. Wow! What was unique about this popcorn was it was not like I tried to do at home where most of the Parmesan cheese would fall off even if I poured it on right after the popping process but the Parmesan cheese here coated pretty every part of the popped kernel. I can pretty much say they use a cheese that is of very very fine grain but what be what it might be it wow’ed me. Me? Wow’ed over popcorn? Guess there’s a first time for everything. This was one of those things that you could not put down until you finished all of it. I don’t know if there is one in Houston but I yearn to try the rest of the flavors that they have. Good reason to make a special trek again to Austin right? They pretty much have this shop set up like you were looking at the concessions stand at a movie theatre as the pictures that people have posted can attest.

Oh. my. word. This is absolutely the BEST popcorn I have ever eaten. If I was on that Food Network show, I could sit there and talk about it for 10 minutes. Basically I’d just be making incoherent noises and grunting… because this popcorn is stupid good. I loved the cheese/caramel blend. Talk about perfection in a plastic cone. The kettle corn was good & I got to sample their cupcake flavor, which was also tasty. They serve soft drinks and various other treats. Popcornopolis is fantastic! Go eat their popcorn, your taste buds *will* thank you.

Words cannot even adequately express how great this store is. This is a hit that you don’t want to miss! I will admit, the prices seemed a bit over popped but that was until I experienced the flavor quality. The store was immaculate. Janelle and Meg were incredible. We tried the wonderful varieties of flavors. My husband is a salt-aholic whereas I have the sweet teeth. He ended up getting a mixture of the heavenly white cheddar with awesome parmesan popcorn. It was scrumptious! The salty flavors were rich and savory! Definite 5 star taste! I ended up with the massive turtle caramel apple that they cut in the store. All of their caramel apples are made with GIANT granny smith apples so that it will be sweet but not sugar-cide. My apple was gigantic. It was a bit hard to eat because of how thick and good the turtle coating was. I wrapped up the apple and shared it the next day and was shocked that it kept as well as it did when I had eaten some slices off the day before. Apples usually oxidize quickly but this was like a magic apple(I had kept it in the fridge wrapped with their thick wrapper too though). They will allow you to sample any kind of popcorn. Some of the highlights of what I tried were: cinammon toast(which really tasted like just that) the zebra flavor, the traditional awesome caramel, the wonderful cheddar and the white cheddar was the best one I had ever had. The traditional kettle corn and peanut butter n’ chocolate were also winning! I did not get to try nacho and sour cream but there were just too many succulent flavors and not enough time. They were also in the process of getting Cupcake popcorn. I could only imagine how fantastic that will be once it arrives. Their description of it was just heaven. The price ranges on the popcorn are $ 4.99−7.99. The awesome apples range from $ 4.99−6.99. They also sell Cotton Candy and candied marshmallows on a stiiiiiiiick. They offer gift tins and baskets ranging from $ 24.99 and up. Refills save you ten dollars. Ask about specials. The popcorn special is usually buy 3 cones get the 4th free! This store is located on the lower level of Barton Creek Mall nearest Macy’s. Store hours are Monday-Saturday 10 – 9 and Sunday 12 – 6. This is such a treat! It is a clean, fun store and all product is made there fresh daily. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

My son talked me into trying Popcornopolis the last time we were at the mall. It seemed a little expensive but they had a deal that if you bought 2 cones, the third was half price. We tried caramel, white cheddar and cinnamon toast. They were all fantastic! Cinnamon toast had a very mild cinnamon taste and was a lot like the caramel. The white cheddar was terrific! We were able to control ourselves and had popcorn to munch on for the next couple of days. We don’t go to the mall much but will definitely hit Popcornopolis whenever we do!

I have always hated the mall but now there is a awesome reason to go to Barton Creek Mall! I went to the mall this past weekend and I don’t like to just browse the mall like most people, we knew where we needed to go so we went straight to a directory to find out where to find it. While at the directory, I noticed Popcornopolis and I love popcorn so I was curious. After some shopping, we stopped by and I loved that we could sample the popcorn! We decided to go with the 3 way tin and it was $ 10 off which made it about $ 20. The girl helping us was very friendly and helpful and told us that we can go in for refills on the tin at any time for $ 20 when the regular price is usually $ 30. We could have chosen 3 flavors we opted for half cheddar and half cinnamon toast. I usually love cheese flavored popcorn but the cheddar here was so delicious. I was also quite surprised by the yummy goodness of the cinnamon toast popcorn. I was impressed by everything in this store and I am definitely going back for refills!

Wonderful new store at Barton Creek Mall. Finally an excuse for me to venture to the lower level. Samples are available for all flavors of popcorn(just like yogurt, heh!) and there are MANY to choose from. See the website for a yummy look. Right now there is a deal going on for $ 5 off a big metal tin of 3 flavors which is what I purchased. It’s normally $ 30 but it was explained to me that if you bring the tin back in for a refill, the price is $ 20. I’m sure they will still be making money hand over fist on this stuff, but damn if it ain’t good! I chose caramel, sour cream and onion and nacho cheese. The nacho cheese is very spicy. The sour cream and onion doesn’t taste like typical potato chip dusting so put that out of your mind. But I think the caramel is my favorite since it’s crunchy. I’ll probably try for all candy coatings next time. This is a franchise business. I hope they do well for themselves even past the holidays. Staff was friendly and fast even when I stumbled in at a busy moment!
