I recently had a horrible experience with Postal Annex on Parmer and McNeil. In fact, it was one of the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had with a company. I dropped off a box to ship by USPS and it wound up getting lost. No one had an evidence that it was picked up. Postal Annex did not have a record that I dropped it off or that the Post Office picked it up. I’m not sure who’s fault it was losing my box, but their customer service was horrible when I tried to find my missing shipment. I was originally working with James, who apparently was off his meds on one of the days I spoke to him. No joke, he started speaking in tongues! I asked the owner, Pooja, several times to see the survelience video to confirm someone didn’t walk off with my box and she would never agree to it. And Michelle ended up hanging up on me because I wanted to know who she was speaking to at the post office. They would never give me the name or number of the people at the post office, leading me to believe they weren’t even talking to them. Just an all around bizarre and unprofessional experience with every single person at this business.

I’ve been using this location for a few years, and they make things really easy for me. There’s usually not a long wait, and I can get in and out pretty quickly (a lot faster than the post office, that’s for sure!) I’ve used their shipping services, as well as their printing services. For the convenience, the price is fair, and they will usually help you find the best service to accommodate you. The owner is really nice, and can be seen helping out frequently. I would recommend this if you’re in the area, and need to get it out of the way quickly.

Thanks to the owner for reaching out to me to find out what they could do better — that says a lot about their customer service focus. I’m only sorry I put someone else’s review on their business and will have to try them out now, especially with the positive post-​wrong-​review experience.

Pooja and her team are top notch. They help us with shipping needs for our own vintage Volkswagen business. I’ve never walked in without a friendly hello. Some of these other reviews are way off. Take a moment, get to know Pooja and her team. They have nothing but good intentions and are in business to help others.

Yesterday I visited this location and brought a USB thumb drive with a few pdfs I needed to print, one of which was a label for pre-​paid postage (a return to a mail order company). I’ve used this location numerous times to drop off UPS packages with pre-​paid postage labels, but I’d always printed the labels before myself. The guy who works here is always courteous and helpful and accepts the packages without delay.
After I did my printing yesterday, I gave the employee the label (I’d already put the package on the counter when I came in, and told him that the label was one of the pages I was printing) I went to pay for the pages and told him how many sheets I’d printed. He told me that my total was two dollars and change ($ 2.33, I think)… for four black-​and-​white 8.5×11″ printed pages. I was in shock at the price, and indicated as much. I really just didn’t know what to say. I asked for explanation of the costs, and was told that they charge 29 cents per printed page, but *one dollar* to print out labels. All of the files I printed were .pdf files. And it’s not like the label was printed on special adhesive label paper.
This rule — special charge to print a label * to send a package from their store* was made by the owners, apparently; I wonder if this is an approved (or even legal) action for a franchise. After I continued to be incredulous, the employee relented, and ended up charging me just the regular $ 0.29 for all four pages printed, but even that price is a ripoff. (Incidentally, the prints weren’t even very dark, so the printer is in need of ink or toner.)
I like supporting locally-​owned businesses, but I can’t stand behind a business with such a practice. I definitely understand that one must pay for convenience, and I know that their services are marked up to account for this, but the fact that I wasn’t told of this ahead of time, when I clearly stated that I was going to use their self-​service printing to print a label for a package being sent from their store, that’s just not good customer service. In fact, it’s nasty and deceitful. I shall be avoiding this store.

Have been using this store as my main shipping portal for 5 years. They have always been attentive, accurate, courteous and very professional. I have never been charged for label printing or anything related to shipping other than packaging that I picked-​up in the store and the actually shipping fees. 100% recommend for your shipping needs.

I was charged $ 3.00 to print out two USPS labels that I mailed at their location. I didn’t have cash so he charged me an extra .50 to take a credit card. I wish he would have told me about their completely unreasonable prices before he did the printing. He wouldn’t let me get the packages back and go to another location with out paying for the printing. Very unsatisfied.
$ 2 to print a single label that was used to ship a package at their location!!!
WOW!!! I can’t even imagine how expensive their other services are.

this is a great business. very attentive, very prepared and was willing and able to help me out. cheap prices. no line. great service. 5 stars.

Hey, you know what’s fun? Standing in this store for over 20 mins, no not in line, in fact damn near the only person there. I went in for a passport photo, but I guess an actual customer was lower on the guys list than packing up, sealing, measuring and then taking everything out and doing it again. Not even kidding. He completely ignored me, well for the 20 plus minutes after «you’ll have to wait, I gotta do this first»
Only reason they got a 2 vrs a 1 star was the only other time I went I there, the lady was actually helpful. Never going back again, I damn near made a scene.

I had the worst experience at this location. My son needed his science fair documents printed and it was too late at our usual store. So I emailed this location and called to be sure the message was understood. He did not even open the email before I got there. Then he was absolutely unable to follow directions– he printed the wrong packets in color and then still charged me for the color prices. My husband had to print it himself at work to get it printed properly. And the worker was not even apologetic. I did not feel like my business mattered to him and he did not care if I came back. I will return to my typical printing place and leave this one alone. Printing a science fair project should not cost $ 20. This is easily 3 times what I could pay elsewhere.

Another great experience here today. Walked in on lunch break with a box that needed to be taped up and a label I printed that needed to be affixed.
The owner said to just leave it and she would take care of everything. I was in and out in literally 15 seconds.
I will for sure stick with Postal Annex for packing and shipping needs!

I had to have something notarized… who does that anymore!!! this place.
We called ahead to make sure they were open and the notary was there. He was about to leave in 15 minutes. They said they would wait for us. That’s pretty cool. extra star for that.
i got something notarized, a copy of the document and sent it registered mail to it’s destination and it was 10 bucks. i don’t really know if that is overpriced or not. Meh. but it was convenient one stop shopping, so im not complaining.

I’m not going to write a long review about Postal Annex. There are only two things you really need to know about this place. First, if you live in the neighborhood, they are convenient. You can generally be in and out in two minutes flat. Second, they charge a high premium for this convenience. No exaggeration, they generally charge two to three times as much as you’d pay just going to the USPS office. I still use them on occasion, but only if I absolutely need to. There is a contract USPS station near 183 & Anderson Mill that is usually quick and charges the proper postal rates, so they get most of my business these days.

I want to make you aware of a problem I had at this postal annex location. I sent out 16 letters using USPS certified mail with a return receipt from this store. after 8 weeks only 5 of the return receipts were received. Not entirely their fault, BUT I did find that the internal postal annex system they used is not «trackable». in other words their tracking number does not match up with the USPS, so the letters could not be tracked. That meant I had no way to prove to my company that these were even sent. i spent more man hours trying to figure out where my letters were but neither the post office or postal annex could help.
After 8 weeks the annex finally reimmbursed me 100% of my cost, so I’ll give them that. obviously their system leaves a lot tobe desired. I will ALWAYS go to the post office after this experience.
