I wish I could give a higher rating because both guys that I worked with were nice guys, but I just can’t give anything higher. I called Pritchard to take care of an issue I was having with one breaker that kept tripping during storms. They told me that there were so many problems with the electrical system not being to code that I’d be better off replacing the entire panel, meter, mast, and meter loop. I wasn’t too excited about the $ 2200 upgrade, but I knew the service was old and was willing to take their advice. Problem #1: On the phone call and when the electrician showed up, there was no mention that I’d have to pay $ 90 for an estimate. After the estimate was complete, he told me I needed to write him a check for his time(maybe 20 min). I believe in paying people for their time, but to give no notice ahead of time is a little shady. I have had several other electricians over for other issues and none charged for an estimate. Problem #2: The work was completed and everything seemed fine. Then comes the first storm and the same breaker tripped, which was our original issue. I write Gary, explain that the original issue is still a problem and he writes me back with a single sentence: «What do you want me to do about?» At this point, it was pretty obvious that there was no interest in helping us solve the problem we originally called them about. I wrote back saying I don’t EXPECT anything for free, I’d just like some advice on why the full panel replacement that they recommended had no effect. Gary never wrote back.

I called Pritchard to ask about the 2 hour charge. The office staff spoke with Gary, the owner, and he refunded me for one hour of service. I really appreciate them calling me back and working this out. I will probably use them again.

Called 5 electricians to get quotes on my electrical panel. I had an inspector tell me that I had multiple double taps(neutral) into one port. Gary returned the call and gave best quote. Within 72 hours, Gary came out and fixed the problem. There were other issues he found and fixed it as well. Gary was on time as promised and was very honest and pleasant person to work with. I will definitely call him for other electrical work needed on my new home!

We’ve used Pritchard Electric twice now. The first time was more precautionary, some wiring in a home we bought that we didn’t understand. The electrician verified it was safe and correct and explained how to make the changes we wanted to make on our own, essentially charging us for just the service call since we could do the actual work(outlet/switch replacement). The second time was to install a vent fan in the bathroom, which needed electrical run to the fan and a second switch in the wall. They showed up on time, worked straight through, did a great job and were clear about the charges up front(and at a great hourly rate). We’ve got a project identified for a condo we own and will be going to them for it, as well… can’t say enough good things. On time, quality work, great communication. Trifecta!

I can’t comment on the quality of Gary’s work but I can say that he seems like a stand up guy. I called him one day to describe some work I thought I needed. He explained that I had misdiagnosed the problem, then told me how to fix it myself with parts available at Home Depot, saving me over $ 100. I really appreciated his honesty. Seems like a very down to earth guy.

I hired Pritchard to complete the electrical in my master bathroom remodel. So far they are responsive to changes, on-time and very reasonably priced. I am very happy with their service and our project was a lot of work with many updates and changes. Updated 2012: Everything was finished and does work great, but it was an ordeal to get things that way. the first guy they sent was not doing a good job at all. things were not as we wanted them. Lots of plugs, switches, and breakers didn’t work. I threw a little bit of fit and asked for their senior electrician Raul to fix the broken stuff and finish the job. Raul was great. He did an amazing job and was on time every day.
