My 9600 epson printer port recently got corrupted and I call Professional Plotter Technologies to help me find the part and do the install. For a printer to be down each day we lose money and it adds up fast. Monday I called and they said they would have a tech order the part and should be out to fix the printer soon. Tuesday comes around and I am assured that they will get the part ordered today. At end of Tuesday I call to see if this had been done and still they were looking for the part #. The guy assures me that they can order the part on Wednesday and be out Thursday to repair. Today is Wednesday call 3 separate times to see if the part is ordered and still they can not find the part number. I couldn’t take this lameness anymore. Called epson and found the part number. Ordered the part after talking to a printer repair place in Dalllas and they are sending a tech tomorrow to repair the printer. After loosing about $ 4000 in sales from being down in production I would call the espon service tech in Dallas instead of looking for hope locally. Tech called me back at the end of the day and he said the part is no longer made i need but in all reality I just had to search a little bit and I found it in about 13 mins online. So if you want your printer up in running the next day this is not the company to use but if you have a week to kill than give them a try the only thing you may lose is time dealing with them. I learned my lesson never again!

I originally contacted Plotter Pro to have my wide-format printer repaired. Fortunately, they were honest with me and told me it wasn’t worth repairing and for the scale of work I do, I should really own a much better printer. I was given an amazing deal on a demo unit Canon ImagePROGRAF 6400S by Jason. He also set me up with an extended warranty as well. Ever since I bought it, him and his team have been helpful and good to me and my startup business. I’ve had zero issues and they always pricematch what I find online so I can get all my ink, paper, and other accessories locally from them. They even drop shipped to me for free! I can’t recommend these guys enough. If you need a large printer, look no further.

We’ve been using Jason and his team for well over 5 years for all of our ink, paper, and supply needs and they have exceeded expectations time and time again. Their customer support is some of the best I’ve ever encountered not only in this line of business but ever in my life. If you have a problem, just call these guys and they’ll get you hooked up lickety split! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in a bind and they’ve gotten me out of it.

These guys are great. I met them first when I started in my department and nobody told me I was in charge of the little used plotter. A large student poster project came up and there was no paper and low ink. I called all over town and nobody had supplies for our ancient HP5500ps plotter. I called these guys and they had everything I needed so jumped in the department truck and went to see them. Jason showed me around the shop and sent me out with an armload of supplies, saving the day. Fast forward to last week. Another large poster session coming up and our plotter is displaying«hard drive failure» uh-oh. Called PP and talked to Jason, who figured it was a failed drive. He brought a new one the next day and the drive didn’t fix it. To make matters worse they no longer make parts for this machine so he and his service manager Garrett ran all over Austin rounding up parts. Meanwhile it was looking like the machine would not be fixed in time and the poster session was the next day. Jason told me to put the poster images on a thumb drive and he would get them printed for us, at less than half what campus printing services wanted! Posters were delivered the morning of the session and Garrett got our machine up an running. We are going to upgrade to a new Epson from Professional Plotter. After using them repair our aging HP1050+ plotter(which they did quickly and professionally at a very reasonable price), I have used them for our ink and paper supplies with great success. Their turnaround is quick and their prices are almost as good, or in some cases better than online supply places. Keep in mind you also get to support a local company and you have a win-win situation.

There aren’t many companies that earn my business with each and every interaction, but Plotter Pro does just that. I purchased my first wide format printer, a Canon IPF710, about 5 years ago. I knew absolutely NOTHING about plotters, except that I needed one for printing CAD drawings. Jason really took the time to listen and understand my needs and never discounted my fear of this new monster in the office… The initial installation and conection to my computer was painless– he walked me through the steps, helped me set common defaults, and made sure I was comfortable with operation before leaving the office. Seriously — what was I afraid of? — this plotter has been a dream to work with, and practically, with the exception of a lightning strike power surge, maintenance free. Since the installation, I’ve ordered plotter paper, ink, maintenance cartridges, and anything else I’ve needed from them. All it takes is a call or email to my man Geno, and if they don’t have my item in stock, he lets me know exactly when it will be, and offers multiple delivery/pickup options to suit my schedule. I’m a frugal shopper, and their prices can’t be beat. Local business, AND great pricing– what’s not to love? An issue I had yesterday reminded me that I needed to review this business– an Adobe update changed some obscure settings and my plotter & desktop weren’t communicating — Garrett and Jason spent about 2 hours on the phone with me walking me through a myriad of steps to determine and correct the issue– Jason dropped everything, took over my screen online, and had the issue resolved so we were back in business — all the while staying well after closing time — and insisting it was no problem. That’s amazing customer service. For personalized customer service, wide-format printers and supplies, and knowledgable sales and service staff, I recommend this business with no reservations.
