Quality Automotive of Austin

4 stars: 5 stars on many occasions, 1 star on my last visit.
I’d be really curious to hear about recent experiences at Quality… mine were always great with one exception, which was sour enough that I haven’t been back since ’07.
Quality used to be owned by the same family for decades, and I took my Accord there exclusively. I’d always liked that the people I spoke with in the office and on the phone were the same mechanics who’d been working on the car… they were my age (mid 20s), totally honest, and most importantly they were always right about how long I could put off certain repairs, how much things would cost, and just the simple stuff like when the car would be ready.
Then one day they were complaining about the business being bought out. The next time I got an oil change, the place was a mess; the guy who’d told me to come get my car had left for lunch without doing the work, the office lady was loudly and rudely shouting at another customer (and at myself when I complained)… basically, I could see why the previous mechanics had left town with the company computer (and all the customer records).
This place was great, and I hope they figured their shit out… write new reviews so I can stop wondering!
