My favorite bookstore in Austin — you can’t beat the prices and the selection is always varied. It’s also a goldilocks-sized store(not too big… not too small…) which allows for a leisurely perusal of all the offerings in about an hour or so. Pick up a coffee at Monkey Nest nearby and stroll on over – I guarantee you’ll find a great read to take home.

Every review was spot on. Extremely cheap, well organized, and a good selection for certain genres. I am a big fan of non-fiction, specifically economics books and occasionally math/science which they had virtually no selections of. Though I cant complain considering I found 7 books worth purchasing for $ 9!

This is a great bookstore. Awesome coffee table books. Terrific collection of children’s picture books for CHEAP!!! Some of the library event programming takes place here. My family saw a puppet show at recycled reads over the summer that was so much fun! The current mayor of Austin thinks the city should close this store, which is so shortsighted. Recycled Reads is a valuable community resource.

This is my family’s favorite hangout. We can spend hours here just going through all the books. It is like a new store every time. There is always a treasure to be found. Can’t beat the prices. Highly recommended!

AMAZING. $ 1 for paperbacks, $ 2 for hardcovers. Clearance paperbacks for $ 0.50. Large selection, and most of the books are still in excellent condition. This is a must-visit for Austin booklovers! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I wish I could have spent all day in here. Highly recommended!
