This place is almost new(considering the property was just built) so, the«dogpen» is pretty cute. The coffees good and service is pretty quick. The brownies are to die for and the muffins are delicious. The only thing is that the baristas are smartasses and ignore you for a bit when you walk in.

Great coffee — I love a good ol’ toddy! My favorite thing about this place though is the place itself. It is a great open area with tons of fresh outdoor light and a beautiful outdoor seating area(good for at night) I have it only 1 minute away from my apartment so it is definitely the hangout for me and my boyfriend!

I try the short detour and stop at Red Table for coffee whenever I am making the drive between San Antonio and Austin early in the morning. These guys are pulling espresso that would make any Italian or Northwest coffee snob proud. Make time to get over there!

Very warehouse like feel to this place. You can hear everything in here. Coffee was very fresh. Clean. Feels like they aren’t finished building this place. Have Russell’s Bakery baked goods along with take-n-bake sandwiches. LOTS of advertisements/flyers everywhere. Has an alright amount of outlets. espresso shot costs $ 2 Have 8oz, 16oz, and even a 20oz cup for your drink. They do carry tea. Really far for ut students to drive all this way. Has one driveway for in and out. It is the only shop opened in the entire building. I didn’t find anything special about this place this first visit but maybe I will the next.

I stumbled upon this place one day, and went in for a latte and a breakfast taco. It was great. Now I am a regular at Red Table. I go for a few hours to sip coffee and get work done on my computer. The staff is great. The coffee tasty. The music just right.

This place is a gem! I don’t pay enough attention as I coast down S Congress, because I have missed this place every time for 10 months. Sheesh! I had no idea there was an operating business in this very new office/condo space. It’s roomy, has a delicious latte, is local and allows event postings, and the best part – they pour BEAUTIFUL drinks, all swirly and nice. Loves it. I’m doing coffee meetups with friends here next.

After awaking unusually early on a Sunday morning(and not hungover for once…) I decided to treat myself by going to a local coffeeshop. However, for us southies(44⁄45), cute local businesses are… scant. I did a quick search using Google Maps and Unilocal, and lo and behold! There is a coffeeshop mere blocks from my place. Red Table is set on the ground floor of some new condo development, but the entrance faces south congress and is easy enough to spot. Plenty of parking. For a new business, everything seems to be in great order. Nice décor, everything laid out just so. They have fliers, magazines, and other info about local Austin events– AND they take the go local card. I had the Wilner latte, and it was delicious. I don’t like when I get coffee and I have to wait 30 minutes for it to be cool enough to start sipping– this was the perfect temperature immediately. The blueberry muffin I had was to be expected– nothing great, nothing terrible. They offer a few breakfast plates and breakfast tacos. The music was fantastic– unobtrusive yet interesting, exactly what the perfect coffeeshop music should be.

Never noticed this place before, but I’m glad I found it. Located farther south on Congress, this place is nestled in an area that looks to be striving for some more up and coming condos and trendier establishments? Seems promising, but the area still has a ways to go. Visited on a Sunday around 10:30AM-ish, the place was not that crowded and seemed somewhat cozy. I say«somewhat» because the place has a modern look to it with many tables and hard clean lines. Nothing wrong with that, but maybe some more soft lines like a sofa or a rug here and there would bump up the warmth factor a bit. Our barista was pleasant and the menu pretty simple. They carry Russell’s bakery items, which is a plus(and a minus) for me because I can’t say no to those darn cinnamon rolls. They also carry Torchy’s Tacos on the weekends, but they only had 2 left by the time we got there. I tried the«Wilner Latte» which is a latte made with Toddy AND an extra shot of espresso, some vanilla, and chocolate. Talk about pretty caffeinated drink! It was pretty rich in a strong coffee flavor sort of way, so if you are looking for an energy boost and like strong coffee, this is your drink. It wasn’t too sweet either. Just to note, this place uses 1.5 ounces per shot as opposed to the normal 1 ounce so it is good to know I’m getting my fair share of caffeine. I noticed this place is open until 10PM. I could see this being a good place to hang out for hours upon end, but I worry about how«stocked» in eats this place would be in the later hours as the selection seemed a bit small in the 1st place. All in all I am very happy to have found this place as it gives me another«nearby» option other than *gasp* Starbucks. For now I see this place as very promising at a good 3+ stars. Maybe 4 stars at some point? Looking forward to making more visits to find out!

This place is alright. We thought the cup selection was pretty amusing. The sizes of the cups were named after Family Guy characters. I think I had a «Stewie» sized drink. There was not much selection on the pastry side of things. We came there at about 7 o’clock, and they had two pastries left, and everything else they had as far as food goes did not seem too appetizing. The place wasn’t packed at all, so if you are looking for a quiet place to study or to catch up with friends over coffee, there’s no problems looking for spots here! Italian soda was delicious. :)

I like this place. I really like the atmosphere(it’s exceptionally clean), and definitely like to support small, local businesses. I’m not much of a coffee snob – I prefer to drink black drip-coffee or Americanos. I’ve only been here twice, and both times ordered, black coffee. Their drip coffee is very strong, and unfortunately, they only offer their standard roast. I wish they offered light roast or medium roast – it’s nice to have options. And the price for a small drip coffee is steep. I paid $ 2.25 for a small(I belive they call a small«Stewie,» as drink sizes are cleverly named after characters on «Family Guy»). I usually tip baristas, but I have a hard time paying more than $ 2.25 for a small drip. Prices aren’t competitive with other local coffee shops, like Jo’s, Little City, Hideout, or Rio Rita. From a marketing/merchandising perspective, the owner of Red Table might want to check those places out. As a SoCo resident, I’ll definitely be back to Red Table. I’m excited to see how this business grows and contributes to the local community.

Went here on Sunday(10÷3÷10). It was one of those places where we thought, «How the hell does this place stay in business?!» We got NO art on the top of our lattes(which is supposedly their big thing). The big menu with lots of vegetarian options was incorrect, because they get some sorry sandwiches delivered(think overpriced sandwiches that the«sandwich lady» sells on the Taco Bell ads, or in a law office), and there were probably 8 sandwiches total, and only one vegetarian wrap. I got a chai as well, but when I asked for some cinnamon or nutmeg, the girl looked confused and said, «We don’t have spices here.» So: No latte art, 90% of menu options not available, and a beyond sparse décor. They probably have one expensive espresso machine(which takes FOREVER), and a refrigerated dolly that holds the sandwiches they have brought in. By the way, the only reason we went here was because we were waiting for a real estate agent to show us the Villages on Congress condos that are in the same parking lot. I was ready to give this place one star, but Eduardo R.(the owner?) seems like a genuinely nice guy who is trying to get things right(he messaged me back). I’m giving it two stars simply because of Unilocal’s explanation of the star rating: «Meh. I’ve experienced better,» we’re not at A-OK yet.

Great iced toddy, reasonably priced. The espresso drink prices are pretty standard for lattes, mochas, etc. Thought the iced coffee was a little too weak at first, and the owner graciously made me a stronger one. I feel like this is the sign of a good business in the making. The owner seems open to constructive criticism, and has the sense to know he’s not sacrificing his vision of how he wants to run the joint, but building a loyal clientele. I have to say, I’ve not encountered a single rude employee here(and trust me, I have no patience for hipstery-douchebag-too cool to pour your coffee-yet still wanna work at a coffee house– type of baristas). This place is right down the road from our house, so we’ve started popping in regularly and have pretty much met everyone at this point. I consider myself polite, but not overly chatty– my girlfriend will chat up anyone– and we’ve both been treated equally well. I would give them 5 stars if they build a patio. You know, with a little fence. Cozy. Come on guys… fall’s coming, and you’re so close to that 5th star.

I come to this shop almost every day. I have an online job and need a break from working at home. Their free internet is powerful and reliable. I come in, sit down, work, and am much more productive in their casual environment. The staff is a lot of fun. Always great conversations when you would like, but never intrusive if you want to be left alone. I love the atmosphere, and the fact that it is never over crowded makes me feel that the red table is austin’s BEST kept secret. Great coffee, and amazing pastries from local bakeries. One of my favorite attributes though is the great taste in music by the baristas. I always hear favorite songs, or new songs that become favorites. Live music some nights, and interesting art on the walls just add to the awesomeness. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Take it from a coffee industry veteran– the coffee is good! I’m a straight-up, black coffee kind of gal, and theirs did not let me down. They’ve also got Toddy(cold-brewed) coffee for those of you who dig it, Mighty Leaf Tea(my fav., wish they had a little more variety, though), and for you non-coffee drinkers, the hot chocolate is delicious! Pastries and food are excellent– the small menu packs a huge punch with its variety and gourmet ingredients, and vegetarians are in for a treat. Go by and support a local place– Eduardo is friendly and helpful, and so is Dominique. Great space for working or just hanging with friends. Don’t settle for those crowded, tiny Congress and First St cafes with terrible parking– Red Table is only a quick hop south of Ben White.

I’ve seen the sign up that they were open for awhile now so decided to stop in on my way to work. The specific location seems odd to me(no other retailers next to it or whatever) but generally its positive in that there isnt anything else around and the area could use a good coffee shop. Much bigger inside that I anticipated, very clean without seeming sterile, would be cozier if there were more people in there. As is, it was just me :-) I was hoping for red tables but the closet thing was a giant cherry wood table off to the right of the coffee bar. Lots of wondows, loads of seating… They have free wifi and plenty of seating, so I anticipate this place will be much busier in the coming months. The barisita was cute and friendly. I ordered an Americano but they didnt have any cinnamon syrup(boo) so I just had it plain. It was… richer? stronger? than the Bucks, but I enjoyed it.

This is the first time I’ve been here. Service was great, drip coffee wasn’t b ad, the prices seem pretty reasonable(wraps are a bit $$ for what you get, but whatever). I think the place could use some softness to cut down on sound travel — everything is hard and so the acoustics are terrible — but yeah, I’d come back here. Especially to the first indie coffee shop in the 44⁄45 area, yo :)

Finally, independently owned coffee in the 78745!!! My man and I hoped we’d be the ones to do it, but so it goes… I had the iced chai and it was yum. My man who’s a coffee snob says the black coffee was good. We had a jalapeño kolache which could have used a heat-up, but they haven’t got the toaster oven yet. The walls are all windows and there’s a nice couch seating area. Most of the seating is leather padded wooden chairs. The floor is cement and the ceilings are high. The bathrooms are clean with double stalls in the women’s room. There was no music playing when I was there. The menu is simple and the staff is friendly. YAYFORTHE78745!!!

This café just opened today. It is located in a condominium community. The owner is from Seattle and the staff stated that he’s made a coffee that is so good, you don’t need sugar or anything added to it. I don’t know because I’m not a coffee drinker and did not try anything. They have some tables and a lounge area. It has windows from floor to ceiling and they look like they may make an outdoor area too. They said they were going to have wi-fi soon. I tried a couple of their sandwiches. I had the salami and smoked gouda that was really good. The chicken salad sandwich was tasty, but I got some chicken skin/grisle…something…in a couple of bites in a half of sandwich. I also tried their veggie wrap and didn’t care for it. But, I like my meat, so it may be okay for a veggie. If I lived in that community, I could see myself spending some time there.
